Easter!
Good Sunday to you, folks!
And for those of you celebrating, Happy Easter!!!
It might rain around here so we're planning on doing an egg hunt indoors at my sis' new place. I hope to also go to church and do some cooking!
Today, I'm showing you a card for Christmas Card Challenges # 18. The goal is to include a reindeer on your card! Remember that the challenge is optional - you really just need to create a Winter-themed or Holiday-related card. I tend to always make Christmas cards so I thought I'd change it up and make a snow day card :).
The cute reindeer was colored to show some fur texture and he is from Some Odd Girl's Deck the Hall set. And I am quite proud that I am chipping away at all of my Holiday paper stash!
I don't know about you, but this is about the time I get a little antsy with making Holiday cards. It's getting warmer and it doesn't feel like winter at all (at least in my neck of the woods). But I just gotta keep chugging along because I have my eye on the prize -- that is, lots and lots of Christmas cards come the Holiday season and less stress about getting other things done!!
So pls join me on this challenge! I hope you visit the CCC blog and look at the other inspiration from the Design Team members!

Polar Bear
Hello! And good Sunday mornin' to ya!
It's time for another Christmas Card Challenges # 17, and this week it's all about CAS (clean and simple). Not my usual style but it's refreshing to do once in a while!
I used this cutie polar bear from Some Odd Girl. I really fought against myself to not add anything but the paper and sentiment washi...whew! That was hard!
Please visit the blog for more info! Thanks so much for playing along!

Easter Chick.
Time for Tea Designs has a new March release: Easter Chick. You can buy her at Jo Davies' Etsy store.
Aren't they lovely? Just in time for Easter! What do you have planned?
We usually go to church and dress in our Sunday best. Then, my sis invited us to do some egg hunting at their new place.
I've got the boys' outfits planned out -- a tie for Mattie and a bowtie for Oli with both of them wearing button down shirts. I've got no idea what I'll be wearing yet though. And Mattie's tie is infant-sized so I might try to hide the smallness of it with some kind of vest, lol!
Anyway, I'm super thrilled I got to use more of my Dear Lizzy stash. I love love this line, but I've got to make room for all the great new stuff that is out there! I paired the papers with some crinkled ribbon from Amy Young. I also doodles on the card.
See you soon! And thanks so much for visiting!

Project Life, Weeks 1 - 6 and cover
Good Monday afternoon!
I'm waiting to board our flight back home so I thought I'd finally post about Project Life. As many of you know, my One Little Word for 2013 is DOCUMENT. I told myself that I need to scrap more, that I needed to remember these everyday moments of my family's.
Above is the cover page. It has my loves and goals and my favorite patterns :). I also wanted to incorporate stamping and coloring into my PL. So you'll be seeing lots of stamps along the way. Most of them are the originals, although I wanted to take pics of some of the cards I'd be working on.
Here's Week 1, left and right sides (pardon the lighting):
Week 2:
Week 3:
Week 4:
Week 5:
Week 6:
- Images seen are from Mashi's Muffins on the following pages (All That Scraps):
Cover, Week 6 right side
- Image from Week 1 left side is from Sweet November - also from ATS.
- Image from Week 4, left side is from The Greeting Farm.
- Images from Week 5, left side & Week 6, left side are from Time for Tea Designs.
- Images from Week 4, right side and Week 5, right side (tag, not colored by me) are from Some Odd Girl.
I hope to get better at writing about each week and also listing the products. For the most part, I've used cobalt, sea foam, and clementine kits with bits of scraps. I also used a lot of Kelly Purkey stamps.
My plane is boarding! Gotta go!
And I've got exciting news coming up....stay tuned!!!!

Here in Florida..
Good Sunday morning!!
I am actually writing this post on the East Coast! I'm away on a trip for my sister's birthday & we are having lots of fun in Florida! It's our first time here and we are grateful for Harry Potter land in Universal Studios :). I feel like I'm truly at Hogwarts!
Anyway, I have a post for Christmas Card Challenges today. The week's challenge is an inspirational pic - pls view it on the CCC blog. I've actually got this image from All That Scraps' Meoples I Want Candy colored up previously. I'm so glad it worked!
I hope y'all visit the rest of the DT's blogs for inspiration!! See you soon!

Daylight Savings...
Good Sunday mornin', everyone!!!
It has been a crazy work week, but after the middle of this week, I have some time off! I'm hoping to catch up on your blogs and have some crafty time too. I'm going on a bit of a vacation but I'm not quite sure how much I'll be bringing. And by that, I mean art supplies like Copics!
Anyway, for Christmas Card Challenges (#15), it's sketchy time! There's a sketch on the blog that you should use as a guide. Of course, like all the challenges at CCC, this one's optional. All we really require is that you create a Holiday or Winter-themed card.
I followed the sketch pretty much to a T! The image of this handsome angel is from Make it Crafty. I'm so proud of myself for not buying any new Christmas supplies and chipping away at my Xmas stash :). I hope you visit the other DT blogs for more inspiration!
Have a great rest of the weekend!
I had one day off in between two long stretches of work. I told myself that I'd just stay in bed all day, catch up on my DVR, cuddle with the kiddies, and may be do some Project Life. I really needed to rest. But the day was so beautiful outside. And I had missed my sisters (one just came back from celebrating her bday in Vegas and the other went back to work after having her baby). So the boys and I joined the two of them and my niece. We had lunch at a new, local joint (it was pretty good). And then, of course, went shopping! I was in dire need of something to organize the supplies I use for Project Life, and I'm excited that I found something.
In the end, I was pretty beat. And with my luck, of course it had to be Daylight Savings. For those of you who are not familiar with it, at 2 AM on Sunday morning, we move the clocks forward. Meaning 2 AM would really be 3...so that means I lose an hour of sleep. GAAAAAH!!! This is so there'd be an hour extra of sun light at night (hence the term daylight savings). G has turned all the clocks to the Daylight Savings time already so it kinda feels like it's pretty late.
*yawn* 'scuse me. Toodles!!

April Showers.
Hi, hi, hi again!!
Please scroll down below for my Christmas Card Challenge post.
I'm back to showcase another lovely release from Time for Tea Designs. This one is April Showers, and I had tons of fun with her.
One, I thought of an outfit I would want for myself. Ever since I heard that emerald green was the color of the year from Pantone, I had been obsessed with the color! I gave April Showers a cool emerald raincoat and some awesome polka-dotted rain boots.
Two, I did the stipple dot effect again to symbolize moisture or even raindrops. Then, I wanted to play with graphics and used some of the stellar papers from Studio Calico. Doesn't the blue and green striped one kinda remind you of rain? I added more contrasting patterns and I think it worked because the color tones are pretty subtle. And I just love this sentiment from Hero Arts.
So check out Jo Davies' etsy store, she's got lots of pretty stuff!
Byee,
P.S. I'm having quite a fun time coloring in some eye-shadow with her closed lids.
Anything Goes at CCC.
Happy, happy Sunday!
For this week at Christmas Card Challenges (#14), it's anything goes!
So I decided to make something quite simple and change it up a little bit. I've made a card without any image on it. :)
Hope you get to play along!! I know it might be getting a l'il warmer where you are but it would be cool to have so many homemade Christmas cards ready to give in December! You can view more DT inspiration on the CCC blog.

Chin Up, Buttercup!
Hello everyone!!!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday evening. I've spent the whole day trying to potty train our 3-year-old. And it hasn't been going well. I'm really trying to be patient and not get mad, but this is harder than I thought.
I knew that it would be trying, but I thought if my other friends could do it, so could I. I just cherish my weekends off so it's a little maddening that we can't really go anywhere on such beautiful days. Oh well! Just a bit of a sacrifice when you are a parent. I know the end result would be so worth it! Diaper-free days! Leave a comment if you've got tips for me please.
On the "brighter" side of things, Time for Tea Designs has new releases. This is Chin Up, Buttercup, and she is so very lovely!
I had just watched the Oscars and was very enamored by Jessica Chastain's beauty and vivrant red hair. I wanted to do a different hair color, and she turned out quite pretty, if I do say so myself. I wanted to keep her feminine characteristics and colored her ensemble pink. And when I was looking for papers, this colorful city scape turned up and I immediately wanted to use it as the whole scene was channeling Sex and the City.
Loved that show! Especially Miss Carrie Bradshaw! The papers and embellishments are from my stash, including that crinkly ribbon at the bottom (care of Amy Young).
I'll have another card showcasing a new release tomorrow afternoon! Thanks for visiting!

Va-va-va-Boom!
Happy Friday, peeps!!
I'm very happy as it is my weekend off! Work has been awfully busy, and I'm glad I've got the next couple of days off to catch up on my craft stuff. How about you, what have you got planned for your time off?
I made this hot Valentine's card for my hubbster and totally forgot to take a pic of it and post on V-Day. Isn't she so sexay? But I love the fact that Mashi's Muffins Sweets has got her rolls and her thickness because that's what I look like. And my hubby loves me for me. :)
I may have gone overboard with the stipple brush effect, haha! Stamped some color into those wood veneer sayings from Studio Calico. HAve I mentioned that I am obsessed with wood veneers?!!!!
Have a great one, everybody!!
