Cupcakes
Hello everybody!
Does anyone else have a cupcake obsession?
I really love taking pics of them, buying them, admiring them, hoarding patterned paper consisting of them.
But here's a secret... I'm not a big fan of eating them. LOL! I'd much rather have a piece of good ole cake, thank you very much! Weird, huh?
Here's a birthday card featuring some of said paper collection. The XOXO glitter on the bottom left were adhered using Collage Pauge. I just love how this glue dries with sparkles!

Monster!
As I'm writing this post, the little monster is:
1. running around hitting his head on the bars of the treadmill (that is in the craft room).
2. lining up my glues, paint bottles, hand sanitizer (under adult supervision, of course).
3. learning how to open my Copics (AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!).
And you wonder why my blog posts are always short? :)
Here's a l.o. of the dude during Halloween 2009. He was an astronaut and I always, ALWAYS must buy an accessory to go along with it (in this case, that little monster alien).
Thought those cute Monster PP from My Little Shoebox would be fitting! Added some misting for dimension.
Have a great one!

Happy Easter!
Just couldn't resist these cute stickers from Target. I believe they are from American Greetings. I don't really give out Easter cards but thought I'd make a card for each major holiday to my tater tot.
Tried keeping it a surprise, but he's here looking at the computer screen as I type this. He's very much into animals these days. In fact, most of his words are composed of animal sounds.
Bok kok. Chicken.
Woof or Arf. Dog.
He growls for lions and dinosaurs.
Moo. Cow.
I am trying to find a nice Easter outfit for Mattie. We usually go to church with family and have a lunch or dinner at one of our relative's houses. We are Catholic so it's a pretty big deal for us.
Not sure if I'm going to buy him a suit like last year though.
Wasn't he cute? It was his first suit at 10 months.
I did find a similar, pink plaid version of this fedora for kids.
source
I know what you're thinking.... Pink?? For a boy? Hey, what can I say? I am a fashion-forward mommy who thinks little boys are allowed to wear pink. You know what they say...men who wear pink are comfortable with their sexuality and very confident. I think it'll be super cute! Anyway, the plaid part is blue.... so there! LOL!
So back to the card. We were at Target and I was looking for items to make him an Easter basket. Here's the one from last year.
And then I saw the stickers, and I just couldn't resist! The PP are from My Mind's Eye (So Sophie). The letters are from Jenni Bowlin Studio. And the background paper is from Basic Grey.
Thanks for visiting!

Take A Leap!
Good afternoon, everybody! The tot is asleep, and I was able to whip up a couple of cards. And, behold, I'm actually going to list my supplies. Yipppeee!! Today, it feels like spring. Super sunny, almost in the 70s. Actually low 60s but we've been having lots of rain so any sunshine is welcome! Another spring-like card. The elements are mostly from Studio Calico.
Supplies:
1. Patterned paper - Studio Calico (clouds), We R Memory Keepers (round flowers).
2. Crushed Paper (for the 'water') - Jest Charming.
3. Spiral Clip - Creative Impressions.
4. Flower sticker (cut for the 'sun' and 'lilypad') - Sassafras.
5. Stamp - The Greeting Farm.
6. Miscellaneous - Cardstock, Neenah paper, Copics, 3D adhesives.

Springtime
Hello, hello, hello bloggie world!
I have a quick post for you today. Well, most of my posts are quick but this will be even shorter :).
I am actually working today so this is pre-scheduled. Pretty simple and quick card -- lots of Dear Lizzy from American Crafts. Actually all of the elements except the CS and stamp!
Have a wonderful one!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Card
Good morning!
Before I discovered stamps, I used to create cards using pictures. For example, see this blog post about thanking my girlies for my bachelorette weekend.
So for Jo's daughter's birthday, I wanted to make one using her pic. Not just her pic, but elements from the actual invitation (did anyone say UPCYCLING? LOL!). Jo had the great idea of making "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" as M's party theme!
Before I had Mattie, I hadn't really read the book but had bought some art papers inspired or marketed by Eric Carle. I was so bummed when I couldn't find them. I had probably thrown them away when we moved!
So I just grabbed this red polka dotted paper by October Afternoon and found this ribbon with "holes" bought from Babies 'R Us. There are a couple of apple stickers from K&Company -- I took these and the cut-outs from the invites and punched holes in them. Just like the caterpillar ate holes in all those food! :)
See you soon!

You Had Me at Your First Joke.
Hello, hello, hello!
Back in February, my workplace held its annual formal party. The theme was "An Affair To Remember" - just like the movie. They had a photobooth and lots of props. Now I am a BIG ham, but my DH doesn't like getting his picture taken too much. When I finally got him inside the booth, he kept on fooling around. My DH is the funniest guy! The pics turned out goofy... I mean, just look these pics!
I am really BAD at listing the supplies that I use. If any of you have questions, pls ask and I'll try my best to answer them. The elements on my lay-out are from an old Studio Calico kit -- CS, Couch PP, Grid stamp, letter stickers, butterflies, big flower die-cut (packaging). The PP with pink is from KI Memories, Love Elsie. The ribbon is from American Crafts, Dear Lizzy. Sorry, I'm not sure where the pins are from.
I incorporated the couch PP because when G and I first started hanging out, we would go mountain biking then rest up on my couch and watch TV. In fact, our first kiss was on a couch in my family room :).
I made a matching mini-card to go along with this lay-out for our upcoming 3rd wedding anniversary. But I'll be showing you that another time.
Thanks so much for visiting! I appreciate any comments you may have!

Cocktails
Hiya!
I wanted to try my hand again at a simpler card. Thought Tiff's challenge was the perfect sketch! It's so refreshing to do a clean creation now and then!
Sparkle's Cocktail Emily is featured here. I don't think I've ever colored her before, but isn't she perfect for a celebratory card? And of course, I had to make the cocktail look like a midori sour as it is my favorite. :).
Used some PP from October Afternoon. And those blings are actually Nail Art stickers! The glue that I used also had glitter so you could see those as well!
Have a spectacular day!

Alooooohhhhhaaa!
I have a new favorite stamp.
I just LOVE her! Cheeky Beach is so gorgeous (to me) and so wonderful to color.
In fact, I've had her colored for a while now but I just waited till I found the perfect papers to go on her card.
We had gone to Hawaii for our honeymoon and I had picked up lots of scrapbooking supplies in a LSS in Maui. But because my craft room is still in disarray, I do not remember where I put them :(.
But I realized that I have this beautiful nautical line from October Afternoon. I really adore how it came out:
Aloha!

Good (Rainy) Times
Happy Sunday, everybody!
I am off to work today but have pre-scheduled this post! I don't know what it's like in your neck of the woods, but over here in the SF Bay Area, it has been raining! And it'll be like that for the next five days!
I guess we could use the rain but I am wishing I am home, cuddled in our couch, reading or watching DVDs instead!
My card today features an old TGF stamp. Doesn't it seem like the rabbit should be holding the carrot on the other side?? Or maybe he wants the turtle to turn around? LOL!!!
I used items from a previous Studio Calico kit. I was so sad when I had to cancel my monthly subscriptions to SC and TE, but I was accumulating so much STUFF! I'm sure most of you can relate!
But speaking of supplies, I am in LOVE with Crate Paper's Neighborhood Collection and My Little Shoebox's City By the Bay! Aaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!
Ok, gotta go now!

Fintastic!
I don't know what it is about fish/ mer-people, but when I have one of those images, I always have to make a scenic card. And the background always has to be of the sea.
And what better way to depict the sea than painted paper towels from her line. I then cut up washi tape as sea weeds, and inked up some bubbles with my pearl pen.
I also used my new handy dandy tiny attacher. I used to have this phase when I adhered everything with staples so I am so in awe of this product!
The fish stamp and sentiment are from TGF.
Toodles!

Mama Anya
Good Friday mornin' to ya!
I survived my first couple of days at work after being sick so hurray! Today, thought I'd play at the FFF Monochromatic March Madness challenge over at TGF.
I needed a super quick card to mail to a friend who could give birth at any minute. So I was thinking I'd try the non-colored look that a lot of people have been doing lately. I really wanted to stamp Mom Anya on kraft paper but I couldn't find any. And I cheated a bit because there's that green sticker :)
Hope you have a great weekend!

St. Patty's Day & Japan
Top of the Morning to ya...
Happy St. Patty's Day!!
Aside from wearing green and having drunk green beer in the past, I'm not too big on celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
So I apologize if my card today does not reflect today's holiday. I've been wanting to ink up Naughty or Nice for a while now.
In other news, I am so saddened by what's happening in Japan right now. My heart just goes out to that nation and its people. Earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear explosions, and lack of basic needs.... :(.
This flyer I found on Facebook pretty much sums up what I'm feeling for Japan. I've also included a link to the Red Cross for donations.
Donate to the Red Cross now.
Have a good day!

Tiff's Sketchy Sunday 11
Hi Everyone!
I thought I'd play along with Tiff's Sketchy Sunday (TG011).
My card features Betty from the Simply Betty Emo Kids stamps. I made this card for my dear friend from work who will be moving away :(. She's not quite Emo so I colored Betty's outfit differently to alter her.
Used supplies from the many kits i have laying around -- specifically ones from Studio Calico and Taylored Expressions.
Have a fantabulous one!

Thinking Of You...
Good morning, everybody! I hope you are all doing great today!
My card today is for my good bloggie friend who was going through some tough times. I wanted to know that she is in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm happy to report that she is doing much better!
I used Swiss Pixie Violet w/ Key. That beautiful ribbon is my favorite of all times - it comes from the Dear Lizzy line from American Crafts. Another favorite part of the card is that polaroid stamp from SC. The small flower stamps are from Stampin' Up and the PP is from American Crafts.
Enjoy your day!

Happiest Around You
Good Monday morn', peeps!
I hope you are having a good week so far.
Another day of using my scraps and I am so HAPPY about that! Piled a bunch of PP and added an image my BFF, Jo, gave me. Added a sentiment from TGF's Spotlight kit.
So, I'm celebrating another 30-something birthday next month, and I wanted to have a small party at the crib. I'm having trouble of thinking of a cool theme. Whaddya think?
When I found out that I'm expecting another boy, I was sort of disappointed that I couldn't do girly parties. But then I realized that I could always do one for myself! I will be the QUEEN of the household afterall, right? Hehe!
*Just fyi, I am looking down at my bun in the oven right now and saying, "i Love you" and blowing him kisses because I don't want him to think I love him any less because he's a boy.* :)
I was obsessed with Alice in Wonderland for a while, but I'm not feeling that now. Having sort of a yoga/ spa thing is intriguing to me ... I think that would be a good bonding thing thing for me and my gf's. I also thought an 80's party would be fun!!! But I can't think of a cute eighties-outfit for a preggo.. haha!!!
Hmmm, decisions decisions... any good ideas, ladies??
See you soon!

Magical Day
helllllloooooooooo!
Hope you all aren't too bored with my simple cards lately!
For this one, I've combined Amy's Sweet November stamp Meadow with a couple of the Emo kids' friends from Simply Betty.
They are all so awesome and cute!!

The Simple Life
I've been finding a lot of inspiration in my Google Reader lately.
All from creative women, but some touch more on their personal lives and not necessarily on their cards of the day.
I've also found a couple of blogs of stampers who don't use Copics but their cards are really amazing!
So I wanted to try it out for this card.
I used a bunch of my scraps (PP from Crate Paper - Restoration), punched them with a Martha Stewart punch, and folded the tops forward. Makes for a dimensional "hilly" effect. The tree stamp is from Petit Stamp Collection, bought at an Asian stationary store called Maido.
Have a great Saturday!

Too Cool
So I bet you are wondering, "Wow, Corinne's got a post everyday for almost two weeks...her mojo went back with a BANG!"
Well, the mojo's been here alright but the truth is, I've been sick and had been off from work. I've been able to color and make cards in the comfort of my couch so I was making use of the time in between napping and and coughing out my lungs.
I think it may have been the flu, although I did get the flu shot. Preggie people's immune systems are just more susceptible. And the tater tot had been sick as well :(.
Now that I'm feeling better and will probably be back at work, I'm 'fraid I won't be able to make cards and post daily. My goal would be three times a week ... even if it's not about crafting.
Today's card is super simple. I think it took me all of five minutes to make it, not counting coloring Christian.
The PP are from October Afternoon, and I added some 'pearl ink' from a pearl pen. I'm so glad I got to make another 'boy' card.
Talk to ya later!

Retro is Everywhere
What-Up, everybody?
My question is what is up with the obsession with Mad Men anyway? I keep hearing about this 1960's based drama and how good it is. But I am sticking to my guns and refusing to get addicted to another TV show (I'm good with my Glee, The Office, Parenthood, American Idol, thank you!). Just like all the fellow iPhone users and Angry Birds.... I'll just stay with my Words With Friends.
But I digress...
I am intrigued with Mad Men's fashion (& possibly the recent uprising of Mad Men-themed parties) but that is about it. Evening gloves? Sleek dresses? Avatar-styled glasses? Wow, bring 'em on!!
Anyway, this Cheeky Cherry Pie stamp reminds me of that show. She's so wholesome, so sweet, her hairstyle's so chic... Paired with some October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker papers.
Mmmmmm, now I'm craving some blueberry pie!!
P.S. Aren't my gloves so purty? I got them for a bargain. And just looking at this website, retro is just very in right now, isn't it?
