Happy Saturday, everyone!
I just had to continue the SOG love from yesterday's blog hop. I've got a card featuring Sweet Thinkin' Mae for their Inspiration Challenge (wow, a lotta links here, eh?).
Here's the pic:
I went with the colors and Holiday theme.
Can I just tell you that I love this scene? It's so cozy and warm. I love that there's a fireplace. In our home, we don't have one but I've always wanted a mantle. I think it's such a great place to decorate for any holiday. Here, I left it alone because there are a lot of 'pictures' above. And there are already stockings hanging.
If you noticed, Mae looks a bit different here. Wanted to try out stamping with no black lines again like I did here. But for some reason, I like the other one better. Maybe because it looks like her features changed here? Instead of lining her facial features with my copic multiliner in black, i did it with a brown spica pen. Except for her eyes because she's wearing eye-liner and all :).
Stamping without the black lines also made the image look like a watercolor painting again, which matches more with the soft background.
Supplies:
CS- Bazzill. Neenah.
PP- Echo Park ('wallpaper'). Bo Bunny ('hardwood floor'). Creative Imaginations ('rug').
Die-cuts- Not sure; there was no name on the packaging. It's a new product. Anybody know?
Tiles- Prima.
Twine- House of Threes.
Sentiment- Paper Smooches' Word Up.
Ink- Jenni Bowlin. Ippity.
Have a wonderful weekend, everybody! Looking forward to going shopping for some shelves for my craftroom!! I've been waiting for a year! I'm determined to get most of the organization done before I go back to work.
Tata!

ReplyDeleteOh Rinne, this card is absolutely amazing. Makes me wish I was actually in the scene.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, could this look any more like my living room minus the fireplace, mantle and pictures on the wall....OK, so it doesn't look anything like my house, but you totally got the scene you were going for! Amazing details. Yes Mae does look watercolored, but it looks fantastic too. Im not sure what your other attempt was, but this is spectacular for our challenge at SOG. Thanks for playing along!
