Hola! Our project for Christmas Card Challenges this week is Emboss Resist.
If you're like me, you ask "Huh?"
I did not know what Emboss Resist was. Here's a tutorial that I found on SplitCoast Stampers.
But what I did was this:
Which, unfortunately, came out bad.
Reasons why:
1. The embossing powder was old. I tried three different stamps, and the powder just wouldn't stick. I couldn't work with my images! The only way I made it stick was by embossing the whole ink pad!! *shakes head in shame*
2. The embossing powder was not clear. Which really defeats the purpose. Emboss Resist is like creating sort of a negative space.
Please go to the CCC blog to see the other DTs' cards. Too bad I didn't have enough time to buy new powder or redo a card. But that's what's good about CCC. You only need a NEW Christmas or Winter-themed card! See you soon!
hi rinne! well, at least you tried! it's kind of neat looking though and you learned what emboss resist is!
ReplyDeleteI think is still looks cool, Rinne!! I love the houses!! :)

I love that you are so candid! LOL! It's still really cute - even if in embossing terms, it could have been better. :)
