Chic Circus Wear
Hola!
With baby boy's -- soon to be toddler boy :( -- first birthday party coming up, I haven't been able to make a lot of cards. My stamp collection is growing by the minute, and the postman/ UPS/ Fed Ex guys & I are almost on a first name basis. Lots and lots of stamps and party decorations are arriving.
I've been itching to create, especially since I still keep up with my fave blogs. I managed to make this one in five minutes. Mind you, there's no stamping or coloring but I like how it came out anyway.
The CS & PP are made from Taylored Expressions' March Key Ingredients kit. The brads & stickers are from the Dollar store. I added some ink to make it more graphic.
So the Lion baby (he's always growling - it's pretty funny) will be having a circus-themed party, & I've been figuring out what to wear. Discovering The Sartorialist and Garance Dore have given me lots of inspiration.
From Anthropologie:
Love the military-like embellishments!
And I'm truly excited! Second Sister is making me a custom circus necklace (here's an example of her designs).
Now to look for a top hat :)....
And Sandra showed me this little cutie the other day:
From mycobocek
I LOVE!!!!! It would be so cute as MK's cake topper. But, alas, it does not come cheap.

Too Good for Mortal Men
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you all (at least for those in the States)!
I'm off today but am working the next two so this'll be a quick post as I've got lots to do!
So one of my besties is having a destination wedding, and we're doing a bridal shower for her in June when she visits. I'm in charge of the favors and decorations. M lives in Hawaii so we're having a luau theme.
Chose the TGF's Hope & Grace Sing stamp. I didn't have much time or budget for the favors so I took a lot of my scraps to make the tags.
These are actually ATC-sized cards -- I had some packs leftover from when I used to make my Daily Candy cards.
For a short time, I used to make daily cards and I'm so glad I found this again:
That's me and her in the 8th grade. Throughout the years, there were lots of boy drama so we were always swearing off men. During our senior year, we even wrote a contract and signed it, haha!
And now she's found the right guy and I'm getting sentimental! Anyway, for favors, I've found such a great deal with these lip balms. They're perfect for a Hawaii trip!
I'm placing these cards and lip balms in clear plastic bags. I may be adding a candy or two in there as well.
Have a great weekend!

Welcome to the Paper Works Co. Family & Friends blog hop! I'm super excited when I found Peggy was holding her first ever customer hop, and I'm so glad I'm able to play along!
And if you comment and play along the way, you'll have a chance to win one of these stamps from PWCO:
RAM collection (set of 4)
Sport Series 1 (set of 6)
Safari Friends (set of 4)
Aqua Amigos (set of 4)

I first discovered this company through my good bloggy friend, Sheena. Their stamps are so adorable!
I decided to use all of the Aqua Amigos stamps. Am so bummed out that I misplaced the coordinating sentiments that I bought -- a sign that 1. I need to clean my craft space. and 2. I hardly ever buy sentiments so I REALLY need to remember where I put them!
Here are the other supplies that I used:
Stamp: Aqua Amigos
Paper: Gina K white CS, American Crafts CS, Love Elsie PP
Ink: Memento Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Accessories: Copic Markers, Lace from Gauche Alchemy, buttons from Cosmo Cricket, crab buttons (also from GA -- aren't they cute?!!

I'm working these next two days. But please come back on the 28th when I'll be a part of the Family & Friends Bloghop at Paper Works Company.
It's their first customer blog hop and they're giving away some prizes for readers and commenters. These give-aways include:

I'm so lucky!
And so another week is here! Wasn't it just Christmas? The year is going by sooo fast!
So, ever since I put out a blog candy, I've been winning some of my own! I think I've won 3-4 in the last month! That's karma for ya :)!
My latest one came in the mail a couple of days ago. This one is actually from Stephanie's contest-- She was our leader from International Ink during TGF's Royal Battle.
There's so much cool stuff, especially some knick knacks from Gauche Alchemy. They have such whimsical and cute embellishments! Right in the middle of my winnings is a card Stephanie made -- so pretty!
And then, I also received a package from another International Ink teammate -- Sheena sent me over some stamps from Paper Works Company. She was so generous and I got a couple of the stamps on my wish list! I cannot wait to show creations here in the future!
Of course, my favorite part of Sheena's package is her card:
Isn't it gorgeous? I am just falling in love with Tilda so I just adore this image! And look at those layers and inked edges! Fabulous! And I am thrilled with those flowers-- I gotta learn how to make them!
If it wasn't adorable enough, I opened it up and realized it's an easel card. LOVE!!!!
Thank you sooo much, ladies! I'm so glad to have met you!!

Bees & flowers & ... profanities???
hello, hello, hello!
i wanted to make a silly, happy card for a friend who went through a tough time.
i think sometimes you just need a card to make you smile despite hardships.
chose really bright colors and fun shapes.
and lots and lots of layering.
my favorite is that kol laj overlay with the symbols. the symbols are actually swear words, hehe.
can you just imagine this sweet little Magnolia girl in her adorable bee outfit cursing?
hey, that's life. sometimes you just have to let it out.
used my 'happy' supplies -- sassafras stickers, kol laj, and dear lizzy.
hugs & kisses,

Content Mama
Happy Friday! My card for today is for the Monochromatic challenge at Copic Creations.
Played with my W's and T's, and I love the Black & White effect!
This card is for someone who inspires me, especially with her art. She became pregnant after four years of trying and I wanted to send her a note.
The stamp is from Magnolia. I'm gushing at this mommy-baby duo, and I am loving the fact that she still has her preggie weight.
My other favorite part are the butterflies. Notice how they're stitched in the middle and a bit of string is left to symbolize their 'horns'. I love P.S. It's in the Details at Etsy -- the name says it all!
I'm sure these are easy to make if you know how to use a sewing machine (I learned home ec in the 7th grade but have since forgotten). But she punched these cuties out of old books, & I'm ecstatic when people upcycle!

Becoming more Mobile.
Good Thursday morning, peeps!
I have a semi-late post but am early for a challenge! This lay-out of the crawling monkey-butt is for the Button It Scrapbooking Challenge on the Farm blog. The goal is to use buttons on your lay-out.
I used the brackets, arrow, and some sentiment words from TGF's kit. But the baby stamp is from Magnolia. Of course, I could not resist buying it since it's such a cute little male baby!
The buttons I used were from the RVA's Camp Cute kit. I covered some of them with Sassafras stickers. The PP with mobiles and wood (this is actually contact paper!) are from the CC kit as well!
Hehe, pardon my English on the sentiment. It's not quite proper but I wanted to use the sentiment words from TGF. The letter stickers are from Making Memories.
Have a great day! I work again tomorrow but hope you come back because I've pre-scheduled a post :).
XO,
PS. The lil one took three steps un-supported towards me today!!! I hope to take a video of that and his crawling so I can show you all!

Unique Ingredients
Good morning, all!
Thought I'd do something different today. Have got lots of interesting ingredients for this card.
For example, I found those brads at the local dollar store. I have to shop there more often -- they've got great deals! The strips of stripes and tulips are actually packing tape. They're clear and are wonderful for layering! The main patterned paper is actually a vintage wallpaper I got as a free gift from shopping at Etsy!
Have an awesome Wednesday!! Thanks for stopping by my blog for yesterday's blog hop-- so fun!
Love,
PS, I loved last night's Glee episode, especially Artie's dancing :). Oh and Idina Menzel as Rachel's mom is genius!!!!!

TE's Blast From the Past Blog Hop
Good Tuesday morning everyone! It's time for Taylored Expressions' first ever customer blog hop!
So we are supposed to use TE stamps released in 2008-2009. I couldn't help but use this opportunity to make a Christmas card out of the cuppies from Home Sweet Home and Season's Sweetings. Don't they make a cute crowd of carolers? :)
I wanted to be a bit different from the other participants. LOL! Hope there aren't too many of us who are doing Christmas cards for this blog hop in May!
I actually got these images from a swap with Sunghee-- thanks so much!
To fit all five cuppies, I've decided to make a HUGE card. Used lots of Love Elsie and some Basic Grey. I cut out the stamped images of snowflakes and 'popped' them out. Added stickles for that icicle effect!
I hope you are all having fun with the blog hop!! Make sure you visit the blogs of the other TE customers -- 55 have signed up!
Toodles,

Christmas in May
I told myself to start Christmas cards early in the year the way Sparkle does. So here's my first one of the year.
Super simple... there's no stamped image! Just took a couple of cardstock and added a Love Elsie PP (I really adore this one!) and fabric adhesive. Added a flower and buttons with Martha Stewart bakers' twine and Voila!
Hope to create more soon! Have a great Sunday!

Scout's Honor
Top of the mornin' to ya, folks! It's Saturday and I'm off this weekend so I'm looking forward to relaxing and hopefully crafting!
We don't have really any definite plans this weekend, and I think i'm ok with that! Sometimes you just need a couple of days when you're not running around to this party or this event during the weekend.
Today's card features an alteration of the Scouts. I took Anya Scout's head & Ian Scout's body and put them together.
Used a bunch of cardstock and a Love Elsie PP (the circles remind me of badges). The sentiment is handwritten -- sorry if it's blurry. I wrote it 'kid' style and was inspired with the sentiments that Amy has been using.
Am not big on sentiments as you could probably tell on my blog. But I am intrigued by the funny sentiments and the 'funky' fonts of these kid sayings. Hmmm, maybe I'll delve into the world of sentiments after all!

Come One, Come All!
Hmmm, I know what you are thinking...
This looks familiar, eh?
I actually made this one first. It's the outside cover of my baby's 1st birthday invitation. Except the title now says "Come One, Come All" instead of "Little Star."
This is the inside:
So my dear little sis has helped me again with the graphics! And I helped with the design and composition. The printing style gave it a true vintage feel!
Aside from the invitations, I did a mini-photoshoot to create posters for the hall.
Here are more of my favorites!
Have a great Friday!

Smile (despite that 'stache!).
Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great Thursday!
I've got a super quick card for you today. In fact, there's no stamping involved. I've used a Sassafras sticker and used goodies from my April Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit.
Today's errands will consist of:
1. Mailing out Mattie's invitations. (i'll show you tomorrow).
2. Booking the balloon twister.
3. Booking a jumper (hard to guess-timate how many kids can make it).
4. Ordering the cake.
Geez, planning your baby's first bday party reminds me of wedding-planning. A lot of people ask why it's such a big event for someone who won't remember any of it. I think it might be cultural-- a Filipino thing. Hope you're not tired of my sharing all the details!
So for the invitations, my sis and I collaborated. It'll be on tomorrow's post, but lemme show you one of my fave pics from the photo shoot that I did with Matthew.
Buwahahahahahaha!!!! this is too funny! the theme is a vintage circus. we were trying to put on the fake mustache and his facial expression is hilarious!
Have an awesome day!
