SOG's Pick a Posie Mae.
Good Tuesday morning, everyone!!
Today, Some Odd Girl is having a new digital stamp release: Pick a Posie Mae! Isn't she just darling?
I love the flower scene and her expression! Her lips are just a bit different from the original though. I had outlined them with copics but they came on a little too thick so I added the borders with my Copic multi-liner in black. I also extended the grass by just flicking up different shades of green. Then, to finish the scene, I cut up a cloud border and used some metallic rub-ons to create the sky. I chose gray since I've been loving gray and yellow lately! And because the sky was a bit overcast (lol!).
I hope you visit the SOG blog for more inspiration. Please visit the rest of the DTs to see their amazing versions of Pick a Posie Mae - Anna, Leah the Orange, and Mila.
And, folks, don't forget that the first round of Odd Idol is ending tomorrow (Wednesday) night at midnight EST.
You can read up on the details on this blog post! Remember that the grand prize totals over $600!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeekkk!!! Isn't that super awesome?!
Thanks for visiting,

Getting Sketch-y for CCC # 22.
Good Sunday morning, everyone!
I don't know about you, but I am pooped!
I have been on vacation, but it has been a whirlwind of a vacation. Y'know, the kind you need a vacay after the vacay, LMAO! Haha!
Today, I'm featuring the week's Christmas Card Challenge! Week # 22 consists of a sketch. You can view it by going here.
Not sure what posessed me to use blue as the base cardstock, but how I regret it. The card doesn't really look cohesive. When Christmas comes, I'm thinking of cutting them up to tags (shhhh!!!):
I think this stamp set is super cute. However, i do not remember where are from but they were so fun and funny!!
Hope you have a great rest of your weekend!

Time For Tea Designs' MJs
Happy Saturday to ya!
I can't believe the month passed by so quickly! Earlier, I couldn't wait for my vacation, our anniversary, and then my birthday. Shouldn't have done that because it made time just fly by! Wow, it feels almost like summer is in my neck of the woods!
Today, I'm featuring Time for Tea Designs' Mary Janes. Isn't she so purrrrty??
I wanted to color her in subtle tones, unlike my usual bright colors. And I always wanted to try out putting down lots of lots of embellishments like I've seen Joanna and the other DT do. But for some reason, it's coming up as more towards the clean, less layered look. Love how there are a lot of textures though! That 'today' sign was colored by these special metallic rub-ons that I have. It shimmers but I couldn't get a good photograph.
Take care and I'll see you manana!!

SOG's Rapunzel.
Happy Hump Day, peeps!!
Today is the last and final day for Some Odd Girl's clear release showcase of the Fairy Tale stamps. And last, but certainly, and definitely, and not least is Rapunzel.
Once upon a time, there was a maiden whose hair grew very long. She lived in a high tower and was forbidden to ever leave it.
I had colored Rapunzel first and then chose the papers and embellies later. I was especially drawn to Allison Kreft Abad's line of Composition and Color from Webster's Pages. At first, it was just about the color palette, but then I love how they look rustic and romantic.
I know the tower was made of cement but somehow, to me, those colorful wooden slabs just made sense. :) And doesn't Rapunzel look beautiful? The Fairy Tale stamps are all pretty, but I think Rapunzel is gorgeous!
Here's another look:
Ta-ta,
P.S. I had accidentally colored her left arm. I thought it was a sleeve! So my version of her dress has long sleeves but you can look at the short-sleeved ones from the other DT on the SOG blog.

SOG's Little Red Riding Hood.
Hiya folks!
It's Tuesday, and you know what that means??
It's time for the second showcase for the Some Odd Girl's clear release of the Fairy Tale stamps! This time it's Little Red Riding Hood for Kaylee's Closet.
You might remember the card I made last week when I featured her here:
Once upon a time, there was a little girl dressed in a red hood. She traveled through the forest to visit her grandmother.
I had originally wanted to make a scene of her amongst some trees. I couldn't find any design paper that was forest-like except for this Hambly overlay of bamboos. This had been my first card for Little Red but I ended up not liking it.
The paper was torn and the adhesive was showing for the beads. Not to mention that I did not do her cape correctly. But just wanted to show how different she looks on an artsy type of card compared to my usual bright cards.
By the way, I totally remember buying one of Kristy's art prints a while back and it was of a Little Red Riding Hood too. See my post on
art prints and cards inspiration.
They are super cute, huh? Don't forget to visit the SOG blog and sign up for a chance to win her!

Snow White at SOG.
Good Monday morning to ya!!
Today, at Some Odd Girl, we are showcasing new clear stamp releases!! It is Fairy Tale Week, and you are all gonna be swooning over these beautiful characters, believe me!!!
Once upon a time, there lived a pretty girl named Snow White. Her skin was white like snow and her lips were as red as an apple.
I just adore how Kristy made her surrounded with her forest friends. I knew I wanted to somehow incorporate them into a scene. Oh, they are all sooo cute in the magical forest, don't ya think (lol, ok, here there is a meadow off to the side of the forest, haha!).
I don't know about you, but I love love LOVE fairy tales. I adore the magic and romance in them!
I colored her pretty much in the traditional Disney way. I am quite bad at remembering or even jotting down my supplies. But I do know that I used some Amy Tangerine for the flowers part. And Catshy Crafts for the felt yellow flower. I traced along some of the flowers and tree to match the drawn on effect of the cloud patterned paper. I also bent the edges a bit to give a little dimension.
Please make sure to visit the SOG blog for more inspiration and a chance to win this set! And tune in tomorrow for another Fairy Tale showcase!

Toodles,
Preggie & Cutie.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Amy Tangerine's classes at Scrapbook Territory. As most of you know, she is probably my most favorite scrapbooker (along with KP, Dear Lizzy, etc.).
And so, I wanted to make her a card to congratulate her on her upcoming cutie. Cutie, as in a baby tangerine....get it? Buwahahahahaha! Oh, sometimes I crack myself up. I didn't come up with the term but I thought it was so darn cute and funny!
Anyway, here is the card, featuring Saturated Canary's Ice Cream and Pickles. And the papers are from Amy's Yes, Please line:
I just love this image! The bump, her hair, and that combination of food! Perfect for a preggie card! I wasn't sure about the gender of her cutie so I kept the color palette as unbiased as possible ('twas easy with her papers).
I'm entering this for the Saturated Canary Challenge # 41. I also used The Deconstructed Sketch # 97.
I hope Amy liked it! I'll be posting a future blog post on the class itself later.
Thanks for visiting!!

Starry Ornaments.
Hello blogland!
It's time for another Christmas Card Challenge, and this week (# 21), the goal is to include an ornament in your creation!
But remember that the challenge is optional, and that your card just has to be a Holiday or winter-themed card.
I decided to use an older stamp that I have. I am not quite sure of the brand, but I thought it would be refreshing to use a different type of image. Plus, I was due to make a religious Christmas card. :)
Added these star embellies and drew some strings to mimic the star in the image.
Hope you all get to find more inspiration on the CCC blog! I can't believe it's nearing the end of April already! The Holidays will be here before ya know it! Why not get the Christmas cards done, peeps? LOL
Talk to ya later!

Inspired by Moi.
Hello there!
It's Saturday, and I try to showcase Time for Tea Designs on my favorite day. Today is extra special as I'm featuring the digi release I love the most for this month: Happy Birthday.
She happens to be a fave because of her dress and her hair and her shoes! Not to mention that I'm an April baby myself! So for this card, I totally went for what I would want on a birthday card. I know it may seem pretty random but I had to include the following:
1. Cameras - if you happen to be a follower of my Instagram (rinnester), you know I take lots and lots of pics. Well, you can bet I'll have my phone and big camera in hand when I celebrate!
2. A femme outfit - love her dress and shoes! And I went even a step further and included that beautiful, frilly trim from Allison Kreft Abad's Composition and Color line.
3. Flowers - my hubby has spoiled me and gets me flowers every year. I forgot the exact brand of paper I cut the flowers from but isn't it a cute little bunch??
4. Music - I love singing "Happy Birthday" to people, but get embarrassed when they sing it to me. LOL.
5. Magic - I get a fuzzy feeling when I celebrate my day. You know, the feel good kind. I never understood why people don't like making their day even a l'il bit more special. I always try to make it a point to do something small, like go out to dinner with friends. It's once a year when you get a whole day to do whatever you'd like, even if it means growing older. Anyway, that main background paper is perfect for magic, don't ya think? BTW, all papers are by Crate Paper, designed by Maggie Holmes. Here's a link to her products at 2 Peas (luv, luv her designs!)
6. Sentimentality - I adore Kelly Purkey's "La Vie est Belle" stamp. It means "life is beautiful" in French (see, those French classes in high school paid off!). Live your day to the fullest!
Anyway, i got to run! I have a special class I've got to get ready for! More deets later!
But one more question ... if you could design a birthday card that would best describe you, what would it include?
Hugs lovely peeps,

Mele Kalikimaka to you!
Good Sunday mornin'!
It's time for Christmas Card Challenges # 20 - the theme this week is wings!
I wanted to stay away from the usual angels and I was itching to color up some TGF. She's wearing a swimsuit though so I decided to do a Hawaiian Holiday card (I love Hawaii!).
Added some trim I bought from the islands - from a scrap booking store in Maui, in fact! And the main paper is from
Kelly Purkey's December daily kit.
Have a wonderful day!

Martinis, anyone?
Hello everyone!
Today started out very interesting. I woke up around 5:30 am and decided to stay up and get some blogging done. I was still in the restroom when the power went out. The first thing I thought was, "Oh no! What happened?"
I happen to be a big disaster worrier. That means that I get hung up on those end-of-the-world movies! I always picture what I would do in these situations, where we'd go, how safe our kids would be, how we'd cope.
So, then, I thought what is happening?? I turned to my phone and thought, "Crap!" I didn't get to charge it and it was only at 10%. So I'm writing this on my hubby's iPad (no wi-fi). I know, I know....first world problems, right?!! Lol
The sad thing is that I'm realizing how dependent we are on electricity and technology . I am grateful that I have my Copics & stamps & scrap booking paper in case this outage lasts longer than a few hours.
We have a Christening party planned for today for a friend's son. I had taken the fastest shower in my life for fear that the hot water would run out. I hope the kids wake up when the sun is fully up!
Anyway, I've got another Time for Tea Designs project to show you with this month's stamp reveal. This one's Martini Girl, and I decided on purple, purple, purple! :)
That beautiful flower is from Catshy Crafts!
Gotta run! Power is back up and so are the kids!
P.S. I followed The Deconstructed Sketch # 96!

Bicycle Kaylee in PL.
Good morning, folks!
When I applied for the Some Odd Girl DT, I included a Project Life page. I only had the background done but I wanted to include stamped images.
My hubby and I were friends first who became more once we started riding bikes together. For our dating anniversary, I thought Bicycle Kaylee was perfect for this PL page.
I love making scenes and Dear Lizzy was the line I chose for this one. We used to bike on hills and loved nature all around us.
Do you include stamps in your PL? If so, I'd love to see!!!
Toot-a-loo!

Project Life, Weeks 7 - 11.
I'm not very good about posting about Project Life. So I uploaded a bunch of pics and I'll let them tell the story.
I have a couple of detailed shots on the pages I really love. And a separate post on the one with the Some Odd Girl image (stay tuned in the next couple of days).
All in all, I am enjoying PL. It's really very easy and you can't go wrong. You can go as simple or as elaborate as you like. :) sorry of the looooooooong post!
