Blowing Bubbles.
Our hospital is big on celebrating Nurses' Week, but it also celebrates other medical professionals as well. Did you know that May is Better Hearing and Speech Month? We are fortunate enough to know a wonderful Speech Therapist, and today's card was made for her.
Thought it was cool to find this design paper of quotation marks from my stash-- I think it symbolizes words or sentences perfectly, don't ya think? I also used some reading/ spelling-themed Graphic 45 DPs.
K told me that blowing bubbles is a good exercise for the mouth and mimics the first verbalization of babies/ toddlers. So I chose Karber Bubble Millie from SCRS. Isn't she adorable? This card is a mixture of cute and vintage-y :).
A special shout-out to my bloggy friend, Eva, who was a ST by trade :).
Have a wonderful day! Just two more work days and I go on a l'il stay-cation!

Bling It On!
Hi peeps!
Sadly, it's the end of a long weekend for me- I'm back to work tomorrow on Memorial Day. It's been a great holiday weekend so far though. Hope you're having fun as well!
For the Christmas Card Challenge this week (#26), it's to BLING up that card! :)
You can't really tell from my picture, but those dots do sparkle!
For more info, please visit the CCC blog! Come play along...this challenge is open till Saturday night. Although remember that the challenge portion is optional..you just gotta turn in a new Holiday or Winter-themed card.
I used Sledding Chloe from Sparkle Creations' Rubber Stamps! Have fun out there!

Nerd Appreciation Day!
Hi folks!
I read on Facebook today that it's Nerd Appreciation Day, so I wanted to post this card! Hee hee! I think this bookworm from Some Odd Girl is too cute-- Professor Inch.
I am entering this for the current sketch challenge at SOG.
I also wanted to thank you for telling me how to get back on the old blogger interface. I think it's much user friendly for me. :)
Sorry so short! Off to do some fun with the boys!

Mama Mae.
Top of the mornin' to ya!
Everybody gettin' used to the new blogger format? I'm kind of getting used to it, although it is still bothersome to keep putting the html code for 'breaking' in between each sentence. LOL!
For today's card, I am featuring Momma Mae from SOG. I've used her a lot in the past, but this time, I decided to show a more closed-up version of her :).
I've been on an Amy Tangerine kick lately, I just love how the simple design show off all of the different patterns in her Sketchbook line!
Hope y'all have a great day!

Things Are Getting A Little Sketchy....
Well, hello there!
It's my weekend to work so this will be pre-scheduled! It's been nice out here, and I'm bummed that I'm working. So far, so good though. Had a nice day yesterday. Hoping for the same today.
This week at Christmas Card Challenge, it's Sketch Time. Here's Week 25:
All papers are from Bo Bunny. And the stamp is from Some Odd Girl. I'm sorry...I can't find her in the index at the moment. My sentiment is hand-written.
Remember that you have until Saturday to play! See the CCC blog for more details! Let's get those Christmas cards rolling...it'll be December before you know it!
Toodles!

My First Published Card.
The day has finally arrived when I can announce that I am a published crafter! Woot-woot!!!
We were told to wait one month after publication to announce, facebook or tweet about it. And it was hard to keep quiet, but now I can shout it out loud!!! One of my cards got picked up for the April/May 2012 issue of Designed to Color, "a magazine devoted to stamping, coloring, and paper crafting!"
Open publication - Free publishing
I really have to give props to Design to Color - it really is for the crafter who's just like me. My style of cards mostly involve coloring. It's the first of its kind! Other magazines mostly focus on just stamping so I am truly honored to be part of DTC's second issue! And what's great is you can now order it in print! Here's the link for more details and also how to subscribe.
Anybody out there also a believer that things happen for a reason? I do!
You see, I entered this card for a different publication call. It didn't get picked and I was sad. Then, I entered it for Design Team call. It was rejected and I was devastated. Along came the call from DTC and when I found out it got chosen, I was ecstatic!!
So don't ever give up!
Supplies list:
CS- Bazzill (brown). Neenah (white). DP- American Crafts (multi-colored flowered one). Crate Paper (yellow roses and striped ones). Stamp- Some Odd Girl's Noveau girl - Believe. Ribbon- Hero Arts. Quilled butterflies- Martha Stewart. Red Border- Crate Paper. Pins- House of 3s (Pink Paislee).
Please click on the issue above for details on the Copics I used. I'm on page 33.
Thanks for visiting!

The Color Purple (and a Future Giveaway).
Good Friday morning, everyone! I decided to play along with Card Pattern Sketch # 165.
For the stamp, I used TGF's Birthday Anya II. I used papers from Wild Rose Studio's Bella. I even upcycled kraft packaging from CatShy Crafts. Speaking of, that is where I got this beautiful homemade felt flower.
Isn't it gorgeous? I highly recommend Cathy's shop for these amazing embellishments!
And in the near coming future, I will be telling you how you can get a chance to get a hold of Cathy's felt flowers for free! :)
BTW, in case you were wondering, the recipient of this card is also named Cathy. I love it when up cycling works perfectly!
Love,
Rinne

Cutie Panda.
WOW!
I bet you're wondering why I'm posting so much all in one day?
Hope y'all don't mind...but I have lots of things going on during the rest of the week: work, appointments, etc. I just want to make sure that I get my cards in for the challenges this week. We all know how good I am at getting my creations in on time, Buwahahah! :)
I am entering this baby shower card to the SOG's Bright Color Challenge. Thought it'd be fun and a bit whimsical to color up Pinwheel Panda pink for our friends' upcoming baby girl! I paired her with the slightly off-beat Cosmo Cricket 23 and thought that it came out pretty sassy! I also experimented a bit with some paper-braiding action there in the corner, LOL!
Ok, that's it from me for tonight. I actually got some cards made in advance but I'll be saving those for the weeks to come! Still going strong on my goal of crafting/posting three times a week. I gotta pace myself though, tee hee! I might need one of those when I get behind.
Sending you some hugs!
Bright, Intricate, and Sparkly.
Good evening, ladies and gents!
I've got a couple more Mother's Day cards for ya to see...mostly for fam or friends who celebrated their first mother's day!
I didn't have much time to make these so they came out a bit more CAS than my usual style. Gotta admit that they're refreshing though...I like the simple lines.
This card is for my dear sis-in-law. I used The Greeting Farm's WS - Stella. I'm also entering her for the Mom's Gone Retro May Retro Fresh Challenge over at the farm.
For the supplies, I used Amy Tangerine's Sketch book papers, American Crafts letters, and CatShy Crafts felt flower. I am loving the brightness of the card, the intricate flower, and sparkly letters. It's perfect for my SIL!
Thanks so much for visiting! See y'all in a couple of days!

2 Challenges.
Ugggh...This is really frustrating.
This is actually my second time writing here. I wrote up a post about this pic already, but somehow when I published it, the picture was the only one that showed up. I also linked it up to two challenges so I hope people didn't get too mad when they saw that the post was empty :(.
Made this lovely card for the Deconstructed Sketch 51 and the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge 79 Week 1 (Use flowers).
For the card, I used up lots of Amy Tangerine's first line and Karber- breakfast Leslie for the stamp.
Sorry to be so short. I am actually doing more stuff for work and just happened to see this blank post on my blog. Have a good rest of your weekend!

Old and Neglected Stamps
First off, I wanted to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day! We are headed to my parents' house later for a Mother's Day Brunch. Then, afterwards on to my in-laws. I am hoping to squeeze in some bill-paying and homework sometime in between all the fun!
Since it's Sunday, I've got a card for ya as DT for Christmas Card Challenges. This week, we will be challenging you to use old or neglected stamps.
Now if you've been following my blog for a while now, you've probably noticed that most of my cards do not have sentiments. I'm really bad at using them either because I didn't want to spend money on them or I wanted to keep the card open for any occasion. So, for this challenge, I decided to use one of my sentiments stamps.
I used all of the sentiments found on the TGF stamp set of A Cheeky Christmas. For the papers, I used some stash. And added some stickler for my 'embellishments.'
Cheers!

Happy Mother's Day.
My friend, Alison, once posted that she is a Stay-At-Home-Mom four days a week. Thought this was so clever so I hope you don't mind if I borrow the term, A!
I am lucky enough to have the best of both worlds (well, almost). I work full time three days of the week, and have four days home with my babies. Of course, most days, I am still 'recovering' from either job but for the most part, I have gotten used to it. My hubby is such a big help...I really am very lucky to have him!
And of course, there's my mom. She watches the boys when I'm at work on weekdays. It amounts to about 2 11-hour days for her. And although she's retired, she is very active in her social life. She loves to catch up with friends and still regularly visits her old job. She drives and picks up MK at the preschool, and then makes sure that dinner is cooked not only for her, my dad, and my sis...but also for my family. I get teary-eyed just thinking about how much she does, and how fortunate I am.
My mom and I haven't always gotten along. She was very strict when I was growing up. I was the eldest, and her first 'teen challenge.' I had been a good kid for the most part, but was considered the black sheep of the family having disobeyed a lot of the rules.
Now that I am a mother myself, I appreciate her so much more. And I hope that my kids never go through that talking back stage (who am I kidding??).
The card was created using scraps and Some Odd Girl's Baby Snuggle Kaylee. She was colored with Copics. And the other star of the card is a felt flower hand-made by Cathy from CatShy Crafts. I just love her creations!
And lastly, I would love to thank my sons, MK and O, for making my childhood dream come true. From a very early age, I had always dreamed of being a mother. And had a terrible fear of not being able to bear children. It hasn't always been easy but I absolutely love being one. This video/ commercial says it all... "The hardest job is the best job."
Happy Mother's Day weekend everybody!

Humorous Christmas Card.
Hi peeps!
Well, it's Sunday again! And it just happens to be my 'weekend on' at work. So sorry for the super quickie post.
The Challenge today for the Christmas Card Challenge is Humor! I thought this 3 Kings stamp was pretty funny (I think it's from Stampendous). Their quirky smiles and angular robes are hilarious! :)
So sorry that I have to run! I am pretty much nodding off here... so tired after a long work day.
Have a blessed day!

Tanya's card.
Didn't April just fly by?...
Pic is from my iPhone app Project 365.
I have another card for my lovely bloggy friend, Tanya. Tanya and I 'met' when we were team mates for a challenge over at TGF about two and half years ago. Since then, we've been sending each other cards and visiting each other's blogs on a regular basis. It's so nice to be able to share this hobby with women who completely understand the love for making cards! :)
A few months ago, Tanya talked about how she hasn't been able to blog because the weather has been nice and that she had been playing outdoors with her family. I had been feeling sad about not having the time to craft between my responsibilities at home and at work. And although I was still meeting my goal of posting/ crafting three times a week, I was envious of those who were making cards daily . T's post had convinced me that it was ok not to be able to do everything and that I was faring well with my one-word this year (at least in this department :)).
Thought these outdoors-y papers/ stickers/ brad from American Crafts were perfect. Doesn't SOG's Heartsy Mae look like she's thinking about planning the day's excursions? Isn't that just like a mom? Hee hee! I hope you had a great bday, T!

Current Events.
Hello, everyone!
I colored this image of Wryn - Grow a Little Love a while back so I am glad to finally make a card with her.
I'm entering this card for Tiddly Inks' Challenge 85 - Saying Thanks!
It's also for the Deconstructed Sketch No. 50. This sketch was tricky for me as i wanted to show most of the Cosmo Cricket papers.
In other news, I received this wonderful award from Cathy.
The Liebster Award is usually passed on from a small blog to another small blog (under 200 followers) to help spread the love! I'm so grateful you thought of me, Cathy! I am so honored!
Cathy and I 'met' in SIS TV, which unfortunately, have closed. I have always admired her scrapbook pages, and am especially impressed by her digital scrapping and photography. Cathy has recently opened up her Etsy store, Catshy Crafts. I really love her felt creations so I hope you check out her store! She and I have a little collaboration cooking up, and I can't wait to tell/ tease ya more about it later! Hee hee!
And now, to pass on the Liebster Award...
1. My BFF'ers, Jo of JoBoogie Stamping.
2. My good bloggy friend, Sheena of KanataNewf - Time Well Wasted.
3. My darling scrappy friend, Ady of Live, Laugh, Love, Scrap.
4. My fellow bliss-ful friend, Lalo of Crafting in La-La Land.
5. And my new cute friend, Eva of Crafting This and That.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
