Jogger Mae.

Hey blogland! I hope your week is off to a great start! Mine is! :)

It's Tuesday and that usually means a new Digital stamp reveal at Some Odd Girl!

Featuring Jogger Mae:

I just love "action stamps." And she is so versatile too! She encourages me to get on the treadmill and start exercising! I love how you can basically size her up or down to fit not only cards, but also scrapbook lay-outs or even Project Life. At the last crop I went to, I saw a lady making a Weightloss Journey journal. It was so very inspiring and it truly made her proud and held her accountable in the process!

At first, I was going to give this card to a friend who runs. But I think I may just keep it as an inspiration for myself. I just may go for a walk around my neighborhood or even start up that big machine in my craftroom (and by machine, I don't mean my computer! LOL).

For the card, I kept it pretty simple. I wanted to keep the theme an uprising and encouraging one so I opted for the clouds. The sentiment is from SOG's Music Mae. I had loved working out and running to music so I included that too. And that doggie on the washi made a cute addition :).

Now if only I had the balls to run outdoors!!! Haha!

Don't forget to check out more inspiration on the SOG blog, Judy's, and Rene's blogs!

Byeeeee!!

Goal

Have you ever seen yourself in a picture and thought,

"Wow, I look like I'm gaining weight,"

and then see that picture years later and think,

"Wow, I looked pretty good!!!"

Buwahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!

That's what I feel about this picture here...

Used lots and lots of Studio Calico Continental kit. I really need to lose some weight for my friend's destination wedding so the travel theme fits in.

I've been visiting Kristina Contes' facebook page and the Effer Dares and Tina's blog. Became inspired to do more of an artistic page rather than the "cute-sy" cards I've been making lately.

As for the goal .. I started a support group for my friends and I. We have a private blog called "The Brown Girls' Fitness Blog." :)

TGIF!

Some Inspiration

Am working out to this now...

Am curious about this...

And may even try this....(**YIKES**)

I like the work-out with the baby because it's interactive. Especially when you don't have much time to defer from taking care of the baby. I feel like I'm exercising AND getting to play with and stimulate my lil one. And he benefits from it, too. He gets some yoga and massage!

I also got some nice feedback about Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred from a couple of friends. Heard it's only 20 minutes long. And that Jillian is effective, a no-nonsense trainer, who's fairly likeable. That the work-outs are HARD! That they will whip me into shape!!

Then, I keep hearing about P90X. That it is a great work-out, varies from day to day (so you don't get bored and your body gets challenged), and most importantly, it works. But it is also intimidating! And that even athletes have a difficult time.

I keep thinking I want fast results what with a big party coming up in September. But I've done the fast weight-loss and exercise routine...these never last unless I keep it up. Still, I'm very intrigued about the 30 Day Shred (which I will probably purchase) and P90X (which I will soon get to try it out courtesy of one of my BFFs). Wish me luck....and lots of energy!!

So I made this card using Wild Sprouts Bree. She is so cute, with her messenger bag and her hat, ready to deliver a letter! Used mostly scraps- Bazzill for the cardstock, some Scenic Road, Prima for the flowers, and Maya Road for the Rub-On. The polka dotted paper is unknown.

I love these and the Anya / Ian stamps! They are having a Gardener DT call. And Club Anya is having a Team Anya DT call. I have always wanted to be a designer, either for a scrapbooking kit or a stamping blog/company. But I think I am not meant to join these ones (not that I am saying I would surely be a shoe in). With a newborn and a full time job scheduled to resume in a month and a half, my schedule will even be more hectic. Am pretty sure I won't be able to keep up the committment.

I will be ecstatic, however, if Amy makes it. Out of the non-designers, I think her cards and coloring are the best.

I'd love to hear from you! Happy weekend everyone! Peace out!

the Beginning of the New Year

I promise I will be scrapping today! I will...i haven't scrapped since November, and my supplies and kits are growing by the day!

Oh, and this makes me mad and inspires me at the same time. Listen up, peeps. I'm a nurse and have recently finished a retreat where an expert talked about different philosophies/styles of nursing between the Baby-boomers (ages 40 and above), the Gen X-ers (23 to 39), and the Gen Y-ers (under 23). It's the same with scrapbooking!!! Scrapbooking should be your own style! Live with it!!! I feel so bad for Kristina, but am glad she is BACK!

And I'm so excited for the wedding.....yikes!!! 3 months and some days to go! Gotta get cracking with the weight loss thing! I bought this , and

although it was very funny and informative at first,

i could NOT finish it. If you don't want to be a vegan, DO NOT read or buy this. It was truly disturbing, although most of it is probably true!

So, I just invested my time and money on this instead:

I love how you can customize your work-out and everything! And I have to get crackin' folks, because it's crunch time! I have pictures of wedding gowns strewn on my fridge, in the kitchen at the nurses' station at work, on my badge. Basically, it all says, "GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR!" Har har!

Oh, I miss the scrapbooking world! Esp. SIS TV, and my friends Rebecca and even Jo. I hope that even with the wedding planning, I still get to keep up!!

I did make some cards while I was in AZ for a few days. I had a limited supply but was pretty happy with what I did!
