PollyCraft's August Review.

Hello, hello, hello!

C.C. Designs is having a review today of its August Pollycraft Stamps releases, and I've got two of those sweet images to show ya today!!

First, it's Frankie's turn, and she's brought along some friends!

IMG_1173

Her hair was just so fun to color! I paired her up with my favorite sticker company -- Jolee's. These were such wonderful banner stickers that at first I didn't want to use them!

IMG_1174

Next, it's Pollycraft's Bones at the spotlight. I didn't do much shading with my Copics with him -- I just did black (#100) and outlined the bones. But it wasn't easy though ... I had to use a steady hand for his ribs :).

IMG_1170

Michael's didn't have a lot of Halloween paper out yet, so I just piled on the stickers again. The banners were from Jolee's, and the pumpkins and skulls were from an old stash.

Vampire Henry.

IMG_1152

Happy Hump Day, folks!!

It's time for a review on the newest Roberto Rascal stamps over at C.C. Designs! If you haven't guessed it from my last CCD post, August is all about Halloween!

Today, I'm featuring Vampire Henry. Instead of making him look like a boy dressing up for Halloween, I thought I'd show him as a real Vampire (go all out, I say). He's complete with the ashen face and velvet clothes (it's super hard to make your coloring look like velvet :)). And I've paired him up with "Victorian" looking papers!

I was super bummed that I didn't get to photograph him with natural light. I really dislike taking pics of my cards with flash, I feel like the card looks more washed out. But I couldn't risk not getting my card in on time so hope you bear with me!!

Please be sure to visit the awesome DT creations over on the CCD blog... lots and lots of spooky inspiration!!

Witches Away!

Happy Hump Day, folks!!

IMG_1133

Today, C.C. Designs is having a review of its August releases. Here's the Meoples Witches Away. Love the Meoples. They're so simply drawn and so quirky... I've forgotten how much I liked them!

IMG_1134

It was quite hard getting in the mood for Halloween in August. But when I went into Michael's, I noticed right away that they've put out a lot of Halloween stuff already! Well... better too early than too late, am I right??

I really enjoy making scenic cards for Halloween :).

Have a wonderful day and see you soon!

Cyber Monday Blog Hop at TGF

Hi, and welcome to The Greeting Farm's Cyber Monday Customer Blog Hop!!! (so sorry for the lighting).

IMG_9642

I've decided to do something a bit different and do a scrapbook page. Not only that, but a Project Lay-out page! :)

Here's an Alice in Wonderland themed one from Halloween back in 2010 when my co-workers and I dressed up for our patients!

IMG_9641

My son, MK, was one then and I dressed him up as the caterpillar!!! I can't believe that costume existed!

IMG_9640

Luckily, I wasn't working that day, so I was able to go all out as the Queen of Hearts!! We also had Alice, the Cheshire cat, the Mad Hatter, and even a card from the deck of cards! I had fun saying, "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!" a thousand times during the day! LOL!

IMG_9643

TGF's AIW themed beans stamps were perfect!!! I'm not sure if they're still available for sale, but they were so cool to color. I just love them!!

IMG_9646

And these miniature bottles and mushroom embellishments from Paper Tales were just the right embellies! Still trying to find out how to adhere them, he he.

Have fun hopping and shopping! Don't forget that TGF is having a sale! See this post for more details and to go back to the blog hop list!

Orange, Green, Purple, and Black!

Hello, everyone!

It's time for another Yumi and Fumi Handmade Challenge -- in light of Halloween, the challenge these two weeks is a color combo of orange, green, purple, and black!

Here's my take using AJ Lion - this line of Kigurumi kids are perfect for Halloween!

IMG_9510

Team Yumi is showcasing their cards/ projects today, and Team Fumi will be doing theirs next week. Remember that you have about two weeks to play and can use any stamped images you like. However, you get bonus points for using Y&FH stamps (they are so cute and awesome to play with!).

For more inspiration and all the rules, please visit the Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog. Thanks so much for visiting!!

Happy (almost) Halloween!!

Here comes Frankencutie!!

IMG_9418

Happy Friday, everyone!!

It's been kinda gloomy here lately. It's colder than it has been, I guess I do have to say good-bye to Summer 2013 now :). I'm in a funky mood as I'm in the middle of a long stretch at work (which has been super hectic). The crafting mojo and the fitness mojo have been low. I had been doing great with exercising over the past couple of weeks but I've hit a plateau with my weight loss. Going on 38 pounds and strong though. I gotta keep telling myself that.

So on this lazy day, I thought I'd catch up on my blogging and show y'all another sweet digi image from the September release over at Time for Tea Designs! Isn't she adorbs? She's Frankencutie, and I love her name and... well, everything else about her! LOL! Her pose, her expression, her clothes!

IMG_9416

And you know, I always try to be different. So instead of green, I colored her a bright blue!! See you all soon!!

Love,

The Mad Scientist and the Witch!

It's Tuesdayyyyyyyy!!! And time for new digital stamps and cut file releases at Some Odd Girl! Make sure you head on over the SOG blog because I wrote up the post today :). We've got two digi stamps (which I have examples of here) and a new background cut file too. Here are Mad Scientist Tobie and Cauldron Tia.

IMG_9385

Please pardon the date stamp. I accidentally put 2014! I thought a little lab scene would be good for Mad Scientist Tobie here. And can you hear him cackling his EVIL LAUGHTER? ***BUWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA** Lol!

IMG_9386

I added that cute little shortie Frankenstein too! Ain't he precious?

And I wanted to make an adorable-looking witch! Cauldron Tia is quite powerful though, and she's got a dark side of course!!

IMG_9388

Make sure you peep in the little blog hop we've got going on on the SOG blog, too! Lots of inspo from the other DT peeps! Some of the lovely ladies have projects for the new Star / Moon background cut file as well!

IMG_9387

See you all very soon!!

So if you care to find me, look to the Western skies.....

Happy Hump Day, folks!

I'm here to show you one of the September digi releases from Time for Tea Designs. Witchy Flight looks too sweet for me to be an evil witch so I fashioned her after Wicked, the musical. She is Elphaba, and her goodness is an untold story *teehee*.

IMG_9408

She is quite happy to be free and flying amongst the ghouls and goblins during Halloween! I do like making scenic cards, right? :). And she is so very fun to color up!

IMG_9409

I mentioned having a little debate in my head about my boys' costumes for Halloween. They have scrubs that are personalized so I can make them doctors or even male nurses. They also have a Superman and a Batman raincoats that I could also use when it gets cold. I still am thinking about what other costumes I could get for them. But really, I should be saving some money, don't ya think?! It's just in the past, I love going all out for this Holiday!

How about you? What is your or your kids' costumes going to be this year?

Vampiress!

Hi everyone!

I dunno about y'all, but in my neck of the woods, Halloween is in full effect. The stores are full of them, and my brain is debating about costumes for the kiddos. The good news is I've got Halloween mojo too! So I was stoked when I saw Some Odd Girl's new digi release - Vampiress.

I think she is super cool. I love her Victorian, but ultra hip clothes. Those fangs and that facial expression are eerie but lure you in! I decided not to make her too cute-sy so I colored her that gray skin tone and gave her white eyes! Oooooooooooooooooooooohhh! Lol!

IMG_9412

I also wanted a little scene. Nothing better than a Haunted House for a Halloween card, right? And that bejeweled spider fit the bill, I thought. Her hair is that pop-py bright violet because she's one sassy little thing! I also wanted her clothes to be dark but memorable so deep reds and purple and greys were the way to go.

IMG_9414

Here's what she looks like in a more CAS card.

IMG_9402

Today, the other DT members are also showing another release - the Web background cut file. Please go the the following DT blogs:

Trick or Treat.

IMG_6665-1

Happy Friday, everyone!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Here's my last Halloween card of the year.

The stamp is from La-La Land Crafts and this is the Genie Marci stamp. She isn't a typical Halloween stamp but I thought she'd look cute with her costume :). And aren't those monsters behind her adorable?

Can't believe this year is going by sooo fast!! It's less than two months from Christmas!

IMG_6667-1

See you soon!

Queen Leslie.

IMG_6877-1

Hello, hello, hello!

I've got a Karber digi card for ya today!

Isn't Leslie super cute? I've dressed....err, colored her up today for Halloween as the Queen of Hearts aka the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to do one more Halloween card before the holiday. And I thought she'd be cute as one.

I am quite partial to the Red Queen if you remember :) (refresh your memory with this post).

Enjoy your Monday!!

Spookily gorgeous!

IMG_6527-1

Good evening, everybody!

I know, I know...lately, it's been either Christmas or Halloween on my blog. LOL!

But, man, Make It Crafty has some really cute Halloween stamps in their store! Mini-Gothilia is eerily beautiful, isn't she? I can't stare at her too long because I spook myself out! Her eyes are mesmerizing but kinda freaky, aren't they? Yes, I know she's only a stamp but I'm a big scaredy-cat!! LMAO!

IMG_6529-1

Have a great day!

The Cutest Frankenstein EVERRRR!

IMG_6525-1

Hi all!

Long time, no post! I have to apologize if you haven't heard from me on your lovely blogs. I am going for a promotion at work, and it entails lots of classes, writing, and studying from me. It will probably go through to the end of September so I'm not sure I will be making my goal of posting three times a week here on my blog :(.

With that said, I have some great news! I'll be able to tell you starting next week. Thanks so much for still coming though. I really do appreciate your comments and your visits! I hope to make it up on your blogs soon!

My card for today features this AWESOME Mini Frankenstein stamp from Make It Crafty. I submitted this card for a call (unfortunately, it didn't make it). But I really looooove this card and its image.

Between you and me, I think it was a loss on their part.... teehee! :)

I just love his stance and his pose and the floor kinda make it seem like he's dancing to me! The only people I give Halloween cards to are my son's preschool staff so I've got about 4-5 more to make!

IMG_6524-1

And for some reason, the bright colors of his clothes make him look a l'il bit glow-y. Spooky!!!!

For those of you in the U.S., Happy Labor Day!

Happy Halloween!

It's officially HALLOWEEN!!!!

Since I've already shown you pics of my kiddies and my Halloween creations, thought I'd show you a pic of my sister's Halloween costume. Isn't it soo creative??

She's a deer that's mounted on the wall!!! Hilarious!!! But also kinda sad! And the best thing is she made it! From the antlers down to doing her own make-up! My sissy is a genius, I tell ya!

'Stinky' is one of her nicknames. :) And her expression? Why, a deer caught in the headlights of course!! Buwahahahahaha!!!

And since it's Halloween, I wanted to share with you an old creation of mine - it was done about four or five years ago. We had a costume party for my DH's birthday and I made a mini-album. Visit it here!

More Chocolate Wrappers.

IMG_2986

Ok, I'm cheating again.

And i'm not talking about my diet (what diet?).

Or, God forbid, my husband... (OMG, LOL!)

I'm talking about yet another blog post on a previous creation. Actually, these were originally cards that were tweaked a little to become chocolate bar holders. I didn't have time to make new ones for the rest of the preschool staff, so I just made do with the cards from last year. I changed a bit of their skin and hair coloring to match the ladies' looks.

Here are links for the original cards -- the Twisted Sisters are in order from left to right:

Twisted Sister Larkspur

Twisted Sister Azalea

Twisted Sister Calladium

I've got newer cards to show you later. Just trying to catch up and get ahead of my DT assignments. Before you know it, I'll be back to my full time job. *sighs*

Have a great day!

PWCO Sneak Peek & Halloween Attire.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a STELLAR Saturday morning!

I have no crafty post for today but I do have a sneak peek at the October Stamp Releases over at PaperWorks Co..

Since PWCO hasn't had a stamp release in some time, there will TWO collections coming at the end of October.

For the next week, each DT member will be showcasing a sneak peek of our creations. It's my turn today, and here it is:

If you want to follow along the sneaks, head over to the PWCO blog post to get the DT order and links.

On October 29th, the stamps will be released and we will have a special blog hop! Hope you join us! The new images are so very cute! My little tater tot loves them! :)

-----------------------------------------------------

And speaking of cute and tater tots. Here's a pic of MK and Oli with their friend, A, at a professional studio. They are Yoda, E-wok, and Princess Leia from Star Wars.

I really like dressing little kids up in themed costumes -- it's so much fun in pictures! Getting those photos taken though was a different matter. It was hard getting them all to face the same way. And smile at the same time?? Fuh-get-a-bout it!!

The little one was hot in his costume and therefore, cranky. We were fanning him and this was the end result: he fell ASLEEP!!!! And looks like the real Yoda! Too funny, he is! LOL!

I'll have more Halloween fun to show you later. My sister got on my case because I got them second costumes. I know, I know...for the past two years, MK always had two costumes already. But Oli's is too big and too hot and MK was actually scared of his and it was too big. In fact, I could'nt get him to put the head back on. The costumes were fairly cheap though so I don't feel so bad. And the other sets are also the same theme! ;) Still, I need to put some kind of costume swap with my friends for the next coming years. Oh, and I wish I could sew! That would totally bring on lots of uniqueness and creativity!

XOXO,

P.S. I'll also be dressing up. And I have two costumes (actually a wig and a head piece) too. I'll be coming to two different themed events and am very excited! And you know what's nice about being the only female in the household?? I get to be Princess Leia and I don't have to fight with anybody, LOL!
