FFF's Bling.

IMG_9657

Good Friday morning, everyone!!

Today, I'm playing along with this week's The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday. It's all about Bling!

It's quite hard to "bling it on" when you're going for a mostly masculine card, so I went for the more subtle embellishments that are not quite as shiny. I still added in the sparkly stars DP and reflective stickers to enter the challenge though.

This card was made for my son's Taek Won Do masters! I'm quite embarrassed at how I messed up coloring in the faces of Karate Anya and Karate Ian. But I am a full-time working mama of two, and I don't like wasting colored images, LOL!

Have a great weekend, folks! I will be working so I hope it goes by fast :).

Cinderella Anya

IMG_9256

Hi!

It's been so long since I made a card out of The Greeting Farm's images. But my friend had a request for a Cinderella card for her toddler, and I thought Princess no. 3 would be a perfect one!

I also created her for this week's Farm Fresh Friday's Anything Goes. Hope my little niece loves this!

We've got a demolition party (more on this later), a birthday party, and a Baptism to go to this weekend. How about you?

Have a wonderful night!

Thank You Board

IMG_5127-1
Hello, folks!
Aaahhhh, I'm back from vacay! Do you sometimes feel that you need a vacation from a vacation? I'm kinda feeling that at this moment. Not that I'm complaining about it...just making an observation.
I'll be sharing some pics soon. The fam and I decided to go to Disneyland last minute! It was a lot of fun! :) What a great way to celebrate my birthday!
And now, I'm back to blogland, ready to share some projects with ya. Today, I'll be posting what I created for the upcoming Nurses' Week (first week of May). This year, it was my responsibility to create a Thank You Board. The staff is encouraged to write thank you notes to fellow nurses to show support, boost morale, and create a positive environment right in time for National Nurses' Week.

I, fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it ;)), had enough TGF stamps to stamp an image for each staff member. I based it on their hair, personality, or likes. It's all done in good fun, but I am hoping no one gets offended or even jealous. I checked with my assistant manager just to make sure and she gave it a go. I mean, how could you not like these lovely/handsome characters? I just love them!
I'm also entering this for the challenge at Farm Fresh Friday's No Coloring. It would've taken me FOREVER if I had colored each one, so I just stamped with black Memento Ink, and used some 'vintage' Basic Grey papers.
Here's a look with the title board. Forgot to take a pic of the little post-its I cut out...maybe I'll take a pic of the completed product once it's hung at work.

Cards & Pictures

Hello ladies (& gents)! Happy Sunday to you! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend so far!

My card today is for the TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge of Spring Cleaning. Use up something you forgot you had or something that you were going to throw away.

I had totally forgotten about those special brad combos (forgot the name). They are from Making Memories. Thought the hardware is perfect for a 'boy' card.

This card is for my good friend, R. R & I have been friends since our first year of college. We had been best friends, in fact I called him my "Kuya" which means big brother. We shared interests in Japanese Anime, college life, and beginning our Nursing careers. We lost touch around Senior year, but had gotten to be friends last summer. Now we talk and share advice on our children, family life, and our Nursing careers :).

Thought I'd try my hand on including pictures in my cards again. That was my trademark before I discovered stamping last year. Here are pics of my thank you cards for my friends during my bachelorette in Vegas two years ago:

Right in the middle is JoBoogie (fun times, BFF!). I may do more of these since I miss incorporating pics!

And last, but definitely not least... here's International Ink's Round 3 submission. Tanya did such a beautiful scrapbook lay-out of her daughters.

The two Miss Anyas are just perfectly proportioned and colored. The ruffled trim & stitching are fabulous for the girly-theme. There are so many small details that I appreciate as well ... like the sayings running down behind the paper and pics. And the little jewels on the bottom left. Please vote for our team by leaving a comment here. (Thank you SOO much for the views and votes last week as well. I really appreciate it!)

And lastly, check out Tanya's awesome video on coloring skin tone at Practical Scrappers. Faces are the most difficult for me to color but her video has shed some light! I just need to get more Copics... LOL!

Flirty Thirty

Good moooooooorrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiinnnnnnnng, Blogging WORLD!! I am in quite a fabulous mood today! Hope it's the same for you!

For FFF, it's time to make a birthday-themed card. I'd like to wish Marie (TGF's creator & owner) a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And since it's her 30th...it's Happy Dirty, Flirty, Thirty!! Chose Cheeky Rockability because she is definitely a l'il flirty!

Used my stack for some fun and vintage-y papers! The striped is from Cosmo Cricket, the peach one is from Frances Meyers, and the bday-themed one is from ki memories. Added some American Crafts brads and here's my version of an uber FLIRTY THIRTY card!

Today, we've got two kids' birthday parties to go to plus the fight tonight! Have a great Saturday!

Score Some Fun!

Hello, hello, hello!!! How are you, this fine Friday evening? Today's post is waaayyy late but I wanted to start off my weekend with a blog entry :).

I don't normally use flash for my card photos, but just got done with this, the baby boy's napping, and the sun has set!

I did a 'boy' card for TGF's FFF Mercy's 2-5 Sketch. Used one of the Twinkle Tots stamps - Max. He is soo cute with that curly hair and big eyes! What made me get him was the videogame controller (reminds me of my hubby! :)).

Supplies:
CS- Bazzill
PP- Sandylion (white) and My Little Shoebox (robots).
Sticker- Sassafras
Brads- American Crafts
Misc- GinaK CS, Copics, Japanese tape, hand-written sentiment, 3-D tape.

Hope you're having a great Friday! This weekend, we are celebrating my Godson's (Jo's son's) birthday. On Sunday, we are celebrating Valentine's here. We'll miss the last part of the Superbowl but DH swears he doesn't mind. I'm scheduled to work next Sunday so we are going out a week early :). Am not much of a steak eater, but I'm excited to try the yummy and beautiful-looking food!

ARRRRgggHHHHH!!!

..that's my pirate impression! :)

Hi everyone! Today's card is meeting three challenges! I had a wonderful time doing this and it was easier than I thought!!

The first is for the FFF's Punch Drunk challenge at TGF. We are to use two different punches. I used a border punch from Martha Stewart-- it is white & to the right of the paper with the whale. The second is the scalloped punch behind pirate Anya!

The second is for the Diedrich Dare # 6. The goal was to use a pirate treasure map for inspiration! I saw Randi's takes on the dares and I LOVE all of them. She is such a genius and so very unique!

The card is also for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge # 88. What a cute sketch, huh!

Supplies-
CS: Bazzill, American Crafts
PP: Sassafras
Mini Coasters: S.E.I.
Punches: Martha Stewart Border, EK Success' scalloped circle
Stamp: The Greeting Farm
Markers: Copics
Sentiment: Handwritten.

Have a fabulous Sunday, folks!!

Rock On!

Made this card for this week's Farm Fresh Friday -- sans frills. It was a lil hard for me as we weren't supposed to use any ribbons, flowers, or lace. Decided to do a card for a boy and boom...I got it! :)

This is late but this card is also for Club Anya's You're a Star challenge.

Definitely missed my flowers and ribbons but HECK, it was only for one card! Used Bazzill for the CS and brads; Scenic Route for the white/blue DSP; Hambly for the turquoise transparency and clear sticker; Prima for the yellow/orange DSP; Stickers were from Sassafras and American Crafts. Sentiment was hand-written and markers used were Copics. Added black ink to add dimension.

Have a fabulous Sunday, everyone!! XX!

short & sweet

Above is my entry for Farm Fresh Friday 7 at TGF. Used mostly my scraps so I do not have a list of supplies for you. Wanted something different (of course!) so I used these glitter 'chips' as the "scalloped" edge of the card. I do know the brads are from American Crafts.

Oh, and I wanted to share some pics from this weekend! It was my son's Christening! Wanted to do a nautical theme.
The first pic was of the favors...truffles in the boat! So yummy!

The next two are of his Christening outfit. Super simple but super cute!

For this last picture, he's wearing a baby Barong Tagalog.

And we wanted to officially congratulate one of his God-mothers, Jo, for making this Design Team! Yay!!!
