Preggie & Cutie.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Amy Tangerine's classes at Scrapbook Territory. As most of you know, she is probably my most favorite scrapbooker (along with KP, Dear Lizzy, etc.).

And so, I wanted to make her a card to congratulate her on her upcoming cutie. Cutie, as in a baby tangerine....get it? Buwahahahahaha! Oh, sometimes I crack myself up. I didn't come up with the term but I thought it was so darn cute and funny!

Anyway, here is the card, featuring Saturated Canary's Ice Cream and Pickles. And the papers are from Amy's Yes, Please line:

I just love this image! The bump, her hair, and that combination of food! Perfect for a preggie card! I wasn't sure about the gender of her cutie so I kept the color palette as unbiased as possible ('twas easy with her papers).

I'm entering this for the Saturated Canary Challenge # 41. I also used The Deconstructed Sketch # 97.

I hope Amy liked it! I'll be posting a future blog post on the class itself later.

Hottie.

IMG_6632-1

What up, people?!

Here in the bay area of Cali, we are still in the 70s. It feels pretty much like Summer although the morning and night are starting to get cold. It's also starting to get darker sooner. I'm a bit excited about the change in season. The brisk air feels quite good but I do miss the more relaxed, carefree days of summer!

For my card today, I thought I'd say good-bye to the heat by coloring up this hottie from Saturated Canary. She is too cute, and Wow-wow-wow... so sexy!

I'm entering this card for the Saturated Canary Challenge #26...B's. My B's here are babe, brads, and bow!

I'm also experimenting a l'il bit with coloring faces and adding more dimension. Love how her skin looks so exotic. Doesn't she look Eastern Indian? I hope I can recreate the warm glow of her skin again!

See you later,

Sexy and Real.

IMG_6616-1

Good mornin'!

So my card's a bit risque today. I hope it doesn't offend anybody. But this sultry Grey Tie from Saturated Canary pays homage to the books "Fifty Shades of Grey." You may have heard of it? It's not going to win prizes but it's very sexy and addicting.

Anyway, I applaud Krista for creating her, a real woman! :)

I'm entering this card for Saturated Canary's Challenge 25 - polka dots. I added some strawberries - picture them as chocolate covered :).

Anyway, I heard someone say stamping is only for conservative, older ladies .... really now? ;)

P.S. My sentiment is from Kelly Purkey...her stamps are perfect!!!

Hello folks! Long time, no talk!

I decided to play along with Saturated Canary's Outdoor Challenge # 23.

I really love Krista's ballerina / circus beauty. I couldn't find it in her shop but I know she's a pretty popular digital image of hers.

I paired her with Allison Kreft's line from Echo Park -- the beach/boardwalk-theme on this paper is actually based on Santa Cruz. It's youthful and fun. I dabbled some paint randomly and added girly embellies.

Am planning on giving this card to my niece, who loves ballet and lots of summer activities. She is young and vibrant and girly so I wanted to make it a fun and layered card. And this card is to congratulate her on her success and talent as a ballerina. She's even training under one of the renound coaches in the documentary, First Position.

And I just LOVE LOVE coloring her hair!

I HEART Saturated Canary.

IMG_4896
Hi all!

After seeing this Saturated Canary beauty on Shirl's and Eva's blogs, I fell in love with her and had to have her too! Luckily, I was able to get her for free by going to Krista's post.

Krista sells her digi stamps through her Etsy store. (Etsy is down right now so I can't provide you with the exact link, but you can go through the challenge blog). I admire her characters' eyes, their wild, strand-y hair, and sometimes-awkward poses. I also adore their detailed clothes. In this case, her ruffles and many layers! It took me many days to color her (please pardon the shoes/socks area), but I really love how she turned out.

I am entering this card for Saturated Canary's Challenge # 12 - Doilies. I went through my supplies, looking for the one doily I thought I had but couldn't find it. I just made my own by punching out some favor bags. Hope that's ok :).

The rest of the supplies came from Dear Lizzy's new Neopolitan line, my current fave. I think the soft, spring colors balance the image's dark, striking hair and almost-sad expression. Oh, and the lace ribbon is from Hero Arts.

Have a wonderful day!
