I don't know about you, but I know so many boys....make that MEN as well....

I know so many who like to play video games. Thought Computer Leo from Karber was perfect for this card.

The Cutest Umbrella.

IMG_7088-1

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and holiday!

It's Karber Monday for me, and this post features Millie Umbrella!

I just love that adorable bunny umbrella. Leave it to Berenice to create the cutest images!

How's the weather in your neck of the woods? It's in the mid to low 70s where we are spending our Thanksgiving Holiday! Crazy, huh?

Christmas Leslie.

IMG_6962-1

Happy Monday, folks!

I hope you are having a good start of the week so far. I had a weird, but good weekend. Hubby's away on business so I'm a single mom right now :). But life still had to go on with birthday parties and get-togethers. I am, however, now knowledgeable about how to call internationally from my phone! LOL!

Today's card features this cute Karber digi (Christmas Leslie). She'd be perfect for any Holiday card!

Have a fantastic day!

Queen Leslie.

IMG_6877-1

Hello, hello, hello!

I've got a Karber digi card for ya today!

Isn't Leslie super cute? I've dressed....err, colored her up today for Halloween as the Queen of Hearts aka the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to do one more Halloween card before the holiday. And I thought she'd be cute as one.

I am quite partial to the Red Queen if you remember :) (refresh your memory with this post).

Enjoy your Monday!!

Hermoine!

IMG_6728

It's another week! Hello Monday!

And for me, that means another Karber Digi DT post! My sister had a Harry Potter themed baby shower this past weekend so I was in the mood to color up Hermoine! I had a great time coloring her hair, but had a hard time with her face because I need new nibs for a couple of my Copics. The shower was a lot of fun....challenging, but fun! I'll post more on that later.

I also chose Hermoine because of the Halloween season. Anyone dressing up? Because my job consists of caring for children, I always try to dress up. The other nurses and I come up with a theme. I'm pretty excited about it...it'll be cute and funny!

Hope you visit the Karber blog and see the other DT's cards!

Byeeee!

Baby Moon.

IMG_6699-1

Good morning, everyone!

There's a bit of a baby boom on my neck of the woods so I was super excited to use Baby Moon for my Karber DT card this week.

Isn't this card super cute? I wanted to make the moon realistic so I tried to add some texture :).

If you head over to the Karber blog right now and join the challenge 50, there's a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to any online craft store you like. That is such a wonderful prize!!

Have an awesome week!

Karber Hawaii.

IMG_6677-1

Good Monday morning,' folks!

I'm here for my Karber DT post, and this week, I am in a l'il tropical mood! One of my dear friends, M, celebrated her birthday. She just came back from a trip to Hawaii, and she is currently going through paradise withdrawals! LOL!

So I thought the Hawaii Clear Stamp set was perfect! It used to be sold at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps but she no longer lists them. If you are interested, I can ask Berenice (owner of Karber) where they are still stocked.

This clear set is really very cute. I love Millie is so cute and pretty, and she comes with two sentiments and four other stamps - the pineapple, butterfly, sun, and flower (the sun and flower are not included here).

My plans changed this weekend, and I wasn't able to take a picture of my card until Sunday night. The sun had gone down so I photographed them two different ways -- one was with flash and one without. They are both included here. (With flash is above).

Have a great week!

Roadtrip anyone??

IMG_6644-1

Hello, peeps!

I don't know about you, but I looooove to travel! Be it by air, or by car, I'm all for it. During my childhood, we didn't have a lot of luxury so vacations were always a big deal. We never went far so we always traveled by car. And because we had a big family who loved to sing, it was never boring. Actually, as a teen, sometimes, I'd block my family out by wearing my headphones. LOL!

Fast forward to my early 20s. My BFFs and I went to different colleges so I'd always try to visit them by car. I also started my Southwest frequent flyer miles going to Las Vegas or Arizona! Then, my BFFers in college would plan a trip to Palm Springs and Vegas again (hey, it's such a popular place!).

And then, when I met my DH in my mid 20s, his bro thought about moving to AZ. His BFF was already there. The housing market was booming. And you can get a 3000 square foot home for 1/3 the price of what it'd cost in the SF Bay Area. We did a lot of road trips there. Five adults in a little sedan in 100 + degree = not always fun!

My actual most favorite road trip was with my lil sis. She had a job interview in So Cal, and it was just the two of us. We belted our way there...as in, at the top of our lungs, the most ridiculous, highest notes in love songs! For me, it was stress free as I was just there for support. I was very into Yelp back then and looked forward to visiting new shops and restaurants.

Anyway, I haven't yet visited Europe, but I'll get there someday. Onto today's card: Doesn't Car Leo look cute? Am not quite happy with the way I colored his car, but let's just say it's not a new one.

The elements and design I used is more geared towards the scrapbooking world with the layering in one corner and the use of more than one sentiment. I do love how different it came out though. And how it captures my love of a good roadtrip!

Sweet Ice Cream.

IMG_2537

Good Sunday mornin' to ya, folks!

Today, I've got another card featuring the new Karber - You Are So Sweet acrylic stamp set from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. This time, I made a card outta the two other images from that set -- the ice cream cone and the popsicle. These new stamps are just so adorable!

From the looks of this card, it seems that I am holding on to Summer. That is true, my friends. Although I look forward to the crispness in the air and the upcoming holidays, it'll also mean the ends of:

1) flip-flops on my feet,
2) my stint as a SAHM (maternity leave will soon be over....boo),
3) and warm weather.

This time, my style is back to cutesy with the bright Copic colors and Echo Park papers. I used the Deconstructed Sketch No. 22. Boy, that triangle was tricky...but I just lined up my cone and I think it works!

I added a pearl liner by Viva to their eyes, and used a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is hand-written, although now I am liking this less and less. Now, I want to actually stamp with sentiments, LOL!

Sorry to cut this short. It's a big day for our family today. I'll tell you why soon. And of course, I'll be posting some pictures. Thank you sooo much for visiting today and for leaving me some love ;).

You Are So Sweet!

IMG_2500

Hi everybody! Welcome to the You Are So Sweet Karber preview for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.

Although starting with this release, the Karber stamps will be clear acrylic. You Are So Sweet also comes with four stamps and two sentiments! How cool is that?

For this card, I chose the main image, Leslie, and the cupcake. I can't get enough of this paper with the electric mixer from Lily Bee's Designs (Domestic Bliss). And then, I was pleasantly surprised to find this embossed KI Memories paper (Love Elsie)...aren't those cupcakes amazing? I enhanced them with metallic rub-on pigments from Craf-T products. The ribbons are from Crate Paper. Miscellaneous items are the pink ink, corner rounder, Copics, and pearls.

IMG_2499

And if you look very closely, you'll see that Leslie's glasses are real!! Teehee! They have that reflective film due to Glossy Accents, a trick that the lovely Arabella has graciously taught me. Thanks chickie! (She designs for Karber digi and has been a wonderful inspiration!). My version wasn't quite as good as you can see: There are tiny air bubbles and I've gone past the lines even!

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of You are So Sweet. Sparkle will be giving away You are So Sweet to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Leslie post. Reading Millie & Winner of my mini Blog Candy!

IMG_2337

Good Monday morn, everyone!

Hope you are all ready for the week to start! I know I am! The tater tot is all better, & things will hopefully be back to the routine that we are trying to establish with the little one.

I used Karber's Reading Millie for today's post and paired her with these patterned papers from Imaginisce. I couldn't get enough of the school/ nerd theme that I first used on this lay-out.

The brads are from Echo Park's Happy Days. The PP behind the sentiment is from EP too. I colored her with Copics and the cardstocks are from Bazzill and Neenah.

This card is also for the Karber Challenge 40. The goal is to stamp about a hobby or leisure activity. Reading, of course! Now if only I can start/ finish the two books I bought. More on those later.

-------------------------------

And now, it's time to announce the winner of my blog candy for Jo's Birthday Blog Hop.

Number SIX!!!!

Respect My Kraft from Kris & Kristen!!!!

Kris and/ or Kristen, please contact me via my email on the profile page of this blog. I'd love your address so I can send you your goodies by the end of this week or the beginning of next!

Thanks for playing, everyone!!!

Have a great day!

Cool Drink!

*** If you're looking for Jo's Birthday Blog Hop and/ or to win MULTIPLE blog candies, please go HERE! ***

IMG_2289

Isn't SHE the most adorable thang ever?!!!! She's Soda Jenny from Karber and she's sold at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.

To match her cuteness, I paired her up with bright papers from Imaginisce. The big drink with an umbrella is a sticker from Echo Park.

This card also reminds me of how fast summer is ending. I don't know about your neck of the woods but it's been warm here the last couple of days. It's kind of sad how it never really got that hot over here save a few days. But Soda Jenny sure looks like she's happy to have a cold drink up there, and I'm craving the same thing!

This summer I discovered this drink at our local grocery store -- watermelon juice. Sure it is probably mostly sugar but can it quench a thirst!! :)

Hope you all have something fun and/or crafty planned this weekend!

I am all over the internet!

You wanna know what I look like when I craft?

source

BUWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

She is Jenny from the Karber digital images...she totally reminds me of myself! Hahaha! :)

So I don't have any cards for today.

But I'm playing catch-up now...here are Days 15-18 of the 30 Day photo challenge....

Day 15 - Shoes.

Day 16 - What I ate. This is Palabok, which is a Filipino version of chow mein. Yummy!

Day 17 - on the shelf.

Day 18 - What's in my Purse. Diaper (you never know when your tater tot is gonna need it. I have one for the newborn too). Checkbook, purse, lip balm, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, pen, toy car (for said tater tot's emergency entertainment), pill case (accidentally got cropped), and phone (not in pic because I used it to take this photo).

Have a great rest of your evening! Looking forward to tonight's Project Runway!
