Hi all,

I've got some great news to announce!! I've made it to be one of the new Design Team members at C.C. Designs!! C.C. Designs was also known as All That Scraps but the store and blog name reflect the stamp brand now. Anyway, I am super STOKED when I got Christine's acceptance email a few weeks ago! I love C.C. Designs stamps, and I also admire how her store carries different brands as well!

For my project today, I wanted to use the Sweet November Love Bug Fun Digi Images by Amy Young. I think they'd be perfect for some Valentine's Day themed Project Life cards!

Those lady bugs are so cute, and they are the perfect embellishments for PL journal cards. I had vowed to combine my love for scrapbooking and stamping so I'm thinking I'm on my way, right?! :)

For the cards, I used a lot of supplies from Studio Calico's Sugar Rush kit. But the sentiments (the cut-out hearts) and stamps are from C.C. Designs. Btw, they were so much fun to color!!

Can't wait to use them in my V-Day lay-outs! <3 Toot-a-loo!

New DT gig at Yumi & Fumi Handmade!!

Good Thursday morn', all!!

Can you believe it's August already?? I can't! Wasn't it just Christmas a while back? :)

I've got big news here in BlogLand! I've landed a spot on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Design Team!

I'm on Team Yumi, as the DT is divided into two teams. We'll explain more about that later! But can I just tell you that I'm super excited to be a part of this? You all know how much I love Hawaii, that the islands are my happy place! And the Y&FH stamps remind me so much of that beautiful place and its people.

Being born in the Philippines and coming to the states in my elementary school years were not easy. I struggled to find role models on TV and looked for people who looked like me and who I could relate to. Eventually, I became color blind and less culturally aware. That did not stop me from being proud of my heritage though, and I love how the Y&F stamps kinda look like me -- mostly Filipino, some Chinese, and a little bit of Spanish.

And what I love about these stamps are they are so relatable. At least for me! I wear flip flops almost year round! I wore uniforms to school!

Anyway, enough with the rambling.... here's a list of my Design Team mates on Team Yumi (you'll meet Team Fumi on the Y&FH blog tomorrow!). In the mean time, meet:

Rosie (DT coordinator),

Lisa,

Corinne --- You are here!,

Olivia,

Maja aka Cebelica

and Leanne (Owner/ DT Coordinator), who is stepping in until they can find another DT.

See you folks soon!!

Sun Worshipper.

IMG_9065

Hello peeps!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday morning!

It's time for another Time for Tea Designs' card today, and I am featuring Sun Worshipper.

I hope you all aren't tired of my scenic beach-y/ paradise cards yet. This one's pretty simple. Just kraft paper, with stickers, and I added those waves using gelato sticks. I tend to take pics of my cards in natural sunlight. I may have taken this one when it was dark and overexposed it while editing. It gives it a super bright and high contrast feel. I guess the sun was at its highest and hottest point then, he he! She sure is getting a nice tan!

Have a wonderful day and weekend!!

Anyone for Tennis?

IMG_8910

Hello everyone!

In honor of Wimbledon, Miss Jo Davies created Anyone For Tennis for this month's release at Time for Tea Designs.

Isn't she so cute with her tongue out like that as if she was really concentrating? I also love her pose. It's so natural and awkward at the same time :). She is really focusing on that ball!!!

I'm not much of a tennis person, but I have loved Badminton, which tennis reminds me of. That feeling of your racket hitting the birdie....priceless!

Sorry to be so short again. This week has been super fast and busy!

Toot-a-loo!!

Wedding Belle.

**Please pardon the appearance of my blog. It is currently going under some construction.***

IMG_8865

Hello there!

It's a gorgeous Saturday morning here in the Bay Area, and I'm happy to show you another June release from Time for Tea Designs. I think Wedding Belle is probably one of my favorite T4TD stamps (coming in close to Fall Love and Happy Birthday).

I just loved coloring her hair. Her gown and face are gorgeous as well! I was able to use a bunch of scraps so I was super excited! I decided that I needed lots of embellies for this card!

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Card for my Father-In-Law.

IMG_8836

Good Saturday morning to ya!

It's time to showcase a new releases from Time for Tea Designs. Isn't Dad Jumper perfect for a Father's Day card? I love his sweater! :)

I made this card for my Father-in-Law because he wears sweaters like these! Jo also has wonderful Father's Day sentiments in her shop but I had a printer mishap and couldn't include any unfortunately.

If you buy anything from her store until mid-day today, you can get free printables. See more info on her post.

I love his expression and stance. They totally match my FIL's easy-going personality. And he's always smiling too!

Hope you all have a Happy Father's Day weekend!

Hello, everybody!

Just like Karber for SCRS' Rainbow Leslie here, I am:

1. JoyFUL
2. Elated

More specifically, I am to design for mostly the Karber rubber stamps! Aren't they so cute?!

Photobucket

I was very honored when Sparkle asked me to be a part of her team. I was also pleasantly shocked! Uh, me?? I thought to myself, "Are you sure?" while jumping up and down!! My hard work has paid off!!

I LOVE it when the 'popular and talented' peeps in the stamping world give newbies like me a chance. Thank you, Sparkle!! (And many thanks also to the other fab designers who have accepted little ole me in their teams in the past and present-- Amy Young & PWCO).

Watch out, here comes a fresh face .... yippeeeee!!!!

I hope you join me back here and the SCRS challenge blog on Tuesdays! And coming soon, there is the reveal of a new Karber stamp -- she is so adorable!

And one more thing.... did I tell you that I am so very excited?!!

Haha, because I am.

No, really... if you couldn't tell from above, I truly am!!

EXCITED!

And ELATED!

LOL!

Ok, because I'm bordering on being annoying as well and would probably soon lose my audience, I also made this card for the Deconstructed Sketch # 20.

Supplies:
CS- Neenah Solar White. Bazzill.
PP- Bella Blvd.
Stickers- American Crafts.
Scissors- Martha Stewart.

Thanks so much for visiting! :)

Sparkle & Shine....at AFA

Yay! I get to be Guest Designer for two weeks at Anyone for Anya! Am so very excited! It's my first time designing and it is such an honor! Thanks so much for the opportunity, Dawny! This week's challenge is to make a card using pink + white + one other color - I picked purple. I seem to be using purple a lot nowadays... but previously, I always had a hard time. My cards must be mimicking what's trendy this fall season :).

For the card, I used your not-so-typical supplies. Went to one of my paper-crafting idols, Traci Bautista for this one.

The outer pink/purplish 'paper' is actually a dyed paper towel that I bought as part of Traci's previous "kol laj" art kits. You can see the edge of it on the third picture -- still crinkly!

The middle 'paper' was created from one of her many art workshops/ classes that I took at Scrapbook U about five years ago (see, sometimes it pays to be a pack rat! :)). It resulted from making a collage out of different textured papers, glitter, paint, crinkly glitter ribbons, paint flakes, modeling paste, and colorful powder. Traci is SUCH a genius!!

I also used Bazzill for the cardstock, Doodlebug Design Inc for the brads, and misc is a vintage-looking button! And I love this Showtime Anya! She is such a star! And she is colored by copic markers, of course!

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by! Would love to hear from you! Tootaloo!!

Addicted to Anya (Anyone for Anya?)

There's a new DT call for Anyone For Anya?.
It's a challenge blog for The Greeting Farm stamps.
I think it's perfect for me!!! Why?

1. These stamps are my favorite stamps (and practically the only ones I use) for making cards.

2. It's an excuse to buy more Anya or other TGF stamps :).

3. I've been entering challenges at the TGF site anyway and this will just encourage me to continue and improve!

4. I'll get to meet more Anya fans!

...and lastly...

5. I hope to inspire and encourage others' creativity! :)
Wish me luck!
XOXO
