SOG Customer Blog Hop *Gift*

IMG_3860

Hello, hello! For one of the categories of SOG's 2nd Annual Customer Blog Hop, we were to make a gift card holder or gift bag.

I decided to make a gift bag and challenge myself. Because I sometimes don't have a lot of time and sometimes craft in 'shifts,' I tend to stay away from projects that take too long to do. Surprisingly, this multi-dimensional paper project was fairly easy and fast. And isn't it super cute and functional? I first saw this gift bag at Janet's blog. The actual instructions could be found here.

I used a 12 x 12 double-sided patterned paper from Graphic 45. This brand is absolutely classic and retro, and I wanted to use something different for Deer Mae.

Anyway, the inside will show when the recipient opens it so it's nice to use DP. Plus, it's thinner than card stock so it'll be easier to fold and score.

I added chocolates in there, and tied it with Twine to stay closed. You can also use a velcro closure. I, then, decorated a strip of paper with the stamped image and some stickers from Bo Bunny to finish the front.

Hope you're all having a blast at the blog hop! Hope you enjoy all the different projects and styles! I find it truly inspiring!

Gifts & Weddings

IMG_0418

Hello y'all!

I needed a gift card holder for one of my co-workers, and this Maya Road envelope was perfect. I decorated it with old papers from an old set of TGF patterned papers as well as Mama Anya.

And speaking of gifts, I am planning on giving these goodies, along with this to card that I made in March.

A dear friend is having her bachelorette in NYC and I thought she should have this mini-Emergency kit for her vacay. Got it (& the image) from Sephora, & it includes that ultra tiny gold bag, hairspray, Advil, mending kit, etc. Basically, anything you would need when you're looking your absolute best and want to stay that way! Heck, it would even be handy for her big day!

And while we are on the topic of weddings, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Bridesmaids is hilarious! If you loved 40-year-old Virgin or The Hangover, you'll like this movie. Hahahahaha!! I was in hysterics during the entire time. If you've ever been a bridesmaid or a bride, had a best friend or have hit rock bottom, you will appreciate it. I absolutely loved the cast!

Did I mention that you should see this movie?? :)

Happy Cupid's Day!

Sometimes, when Gilderoy would tell me he loves me, I'd ask, "How much?" He'd answer, "A lot." Now, my fiance isn't the most poetic with words, and I'd ask him to clarify. He'd say the same thing.."A lot." I'd get mad with him.

So for Valentine's, I walk down the stairs and found these in the dining room table:

With this card:

Isn't that so sweet? I cried when I read it!!

Here's what I made him: Some Scenic Route goodness!!

And my sis got us a bottle of my fave wine!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE THIS MAN?!!!(He's gonna kill me if he sees this picture!) *LOL*
