February Showers....
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you are all doing stellar today!
Wanted to share this card I made for one of my BFF's baby shower. My mojo still hasn't returned, but I forced myself to make a card. This one particular group of friends are not crafters but have always told me they cherish my creations and save all of my cards. So I felt bad if this momentous occasion went without a home-made card.
The card itself took no longer than three minutes to make. I just layered patterned paper from this one notepad I had from K & Company. I should really stop buying notepads because I get pretty tired of the same PP fast. But it truly is very convenient for making quick baby-themed cards.
So in order to 'get rid of' these PP, I thought I'd decorate this cardboard carrier I got from IKEA. It was perfect as a 'basket' for my small gifts.
Here's what it looked like before. And it had two compartments -- one on the front, one in the back.
Here's the front with some patterned paper scraps.
Here's the back.
Add the tissue paper.
And the matching card and tie a ribbon. Voila!! A great way to present gifts and recycle at the same time!
I was also in charge of favors. Thought these were so cute from Beau-coup. The mother-to-be's fave candy was popcorn-flavored Jelly Bellies so they were perfect!
See you soon!
