Aloha!

Aloha, everyone!

We are back in the mainland from our week-long vacay. And can I just tell you that it was a must-needed one? I decided to take a REAL vacation, and didn't look at my Google Reader or take any of my Copics.

I sure did miss you guys and your blogs, but I must admit that it was kinda refreshing not to comment on anyone's page or pine after a stamp :).

I did, however, make some tags for my friend's party and I'll show you those tomorrow.

With the warm weather in Hawaii and coming back to the cold, rainy weather here, I think I've come down with a cold. Am not sure if it's just the temperature change (and time change), but my body is just feeling a bit weak. Stayed home from work today... do you ever feel like you need a vacation from your vacation? Hehe!

Here are some highlights of the trip:

Got ready on the 30th floor of the Sheraton Waikiki. Isn't this an amazing view?

The bride and her 7 MOH's. That's right, she couldn't choose so she made all of us her maids/matrons of honor.

We took pics at the Pink Lady, the Royal Hawaiian. It's my new favorite hotel. It's been built since WWII and was newly renovated. I love its history and cultural components.

Being part of the wedding entourage, I couldn't carry my big camera. But I did manage to get a few, 'artistic' shots like this one. A picture of the signature drink and our flowers. And in the back are the groomsmen with their barongs (the traditional Filipino formal wear).

Mattie got his first kiss! From an older girl, one of the flowergirls.. LOL! Please ignore his shorts! The khaki linen pants I got him ended up too big. Good thing, the wedding was pretty laid back. :)

If you ever come to Hawaii and hear of the shrimp trucks, come to this one. I heard it's better than the more popular Giovanni's. Yum yum yum!

Some of my besties. It was almost 10 years ago that we first came to Hawaii as a group. We came to celebrate the one year anniversary of our first married friend. Now, we are re-united for the last marriage. Full circle.

Another shot of the Pink Lady's interior.

We went to the Dole Pineapple plantation.

Waimanalo beach in the Southeast side of the island of Oahu. Too bad we couldn't go in the water due to the man-of-war (jellyfish) warning.

I miss the clear, blue-green waters!

A tanned Matthew with my niece, Angelina. Just finished some shaved ice goodness!

Some local music and Hula equals a lovely time!

Playing on the beach with a michievious look on his face! What are you up to, Mister??

Waikiki beach.

Sunset galore.

I sure do miss those lazy, warm, Hawaiian days and nights. But it's good to be home!
