Hugs Lucy.
Happy Sunday, y'all! Today is the first day for C.C. Design's July Stamps previews. My card today will be on Hugs Lucy. She is super versatile, and you can use her in just about anything. This will actually be a sympathy card for a co-worker who had lost her grandmother.
I'm so sorry if this post is super short. I'm battling this bad cold and cough combo and still not feeling myself. Hope you get to visit the blog and see more inspiration and previews from the other DT members!
Have a great one!

Nipper!
Hello, peeps!
A quick post on our Pollycraft Review over at C.C. Designs. Here's Nipper on a fun scenic card!
I don't know about you but I've gone crabbing! It's so much fun! We fished for them at a pier using hotdogs! Who knew that would work! The fun stickers are from Jolee's Boutique and the vintage papers are from October Afternoon!
Have a wonderful day!!

Make It Monday over at C.C.D.!
Hi all!!
I'll be showing you how to use water colors with your stamps! I am usually a Copics Lover, but I have been intrigued by different mediums lately, especially watercolors.
To start off with, I grabbed:
1. some watercolor paper (I used a different brand here, but C.C.Designs sells one at the store).
2. ink for the stamp (Memento Ink in rich cocoa).
4. For the watercolors, I used Le Plumme II watercolor pens and water color from the Art District -- it's what I already have at home. Christine has a great selection over here.
5. Water, small brushes, watercolor pan.
I first laid ink from the markers or tubes on the watercolor pan.
I, then, start coloring using my brush and taking into account where the light source is.
I take the marker and use it right on the watercolor paper where the shadows of her face would be. And then I blend well with my brush.
I have yet to master coloring hair, but you can show dimensions here by using different colors or making it lighter by using more water.
I did the same technique with the background / sea. By using different colors or shades, you show depth and aspects.
I kept it pretty simple and just added bubbles and hand-wrote the sentiment.

Summer Fun.
Good evening, folks!!
Am I on a roll, or what?
I've been cranking out cards, but I still feel like my mojo is down? Oh, geez, sorry to sound all down, but I really need to get my inspiration up!!
For tonight (aka morning time in Asia), it's time for another Milk Coffee Challenge! For the next two weeks, it's all about Summer Fun!
This adorable baby/ toddler image was a freebie on the blog a while back. I downloaded her and thought it about time to finally color her up. I added some grass and wanted a fun-in-the-sun type of theme!
If you read my post from last night, you'd know that I've been wanting to do simpler cards. Here's one of them. Lots of white space to keep it clean!
Hope you all play along! Remember that you don't have to use MC images but if you do, you get extra points!! Read more of the rules on the MC blog!

Roberto's Amiga - Margarita Time.
Happy Hump Day, peeps!!
Today, my card for you is a review on the C.C. Designs' June release of Roberto's Amigas. These ladies are new from this line, and I absolutely think they're hilarious. I mean so far I've only seen cutes-y stamps aka young-looking stamps from all of my favorite stamp brands. Or the ones 'over the hill' such as a couple of senior stamps (usually labeled as the grandparents). I've also found those funny women at Art Impressions.
But I had longed for stamps that symbolized women in their mid-30s to early '40s (I'm in the mid-30s category). That's the average looking woman, right? A little bit wider, a little cushion in the tushie area...LOL... comfy shoes, functional yet stylish bag, with cute hair to boot! And a fruity cocktail or wine while relaxing!!
I absolutely had to choose Margarita Time when asked to pick our stamps for June!
And that sentiment is hilarious!!! It's from C.C.Designs as well -- Rumor Has it by Amy R. You all should check out what the other ones say!!
Anyway, I wanted this card to portray getting together with your girlfriends once or twice a month. You know, when the life of a working momma of three, while busy keeping up the house and making your husband happy actually allows a girls' night out. :) :) :)
And when you're in your mid-thirties, you speak your mind when your friend comes to you with a problem, am I right?? Haha! I paired this sassy stamp combo with Hey, Kid from Pink Paislee.
Keep it fab, folks!

Kawaii Acorn.
Hi folks!
I'm on a CAS (clean and simple) kick lately, so I decided to keep this card one-layered.
Sometimes, the goal is to highlight the stamp(s)! And this cutie is from Time for Tea Designs -- it's Kawaii Acorn Digi. The sentiment is from the I'm Nuts About You Squirrel and Sentiment set.
To keep true to my style though, I had to keep the background 'busy' (that is, with patterned paper).
Don't forget that Jo is having a 35% off sale her new releases until this Friday!! You can read more about her sale at her blogpost.
See you soon!!

Summertime Kit!
Good Monday morning, friends!
Today is The Greeting Farm's release of its new Print and Cut kit -- Summertime. This kit also comes with not one, but TWO digital stamps... an Anya AND an Ian!!!!
Am super excited about this kit because it is truly perfect for the season! For my first project showcasing it, I made a card using lots of its elements. Pretty much all of the items are from the kit except the cardstock and the two background patterned papers.
Is it super hot where you are at right now?? Luckily, here in the SF Bay Area, the weather has been in the 70s and 80s. Not too hot, not too cold. In fact, I was just complaining to my sister how cold it was last night when we were going to the movies. Anyway, doesn't Anya look cute in her bathing suit / summer 'fit and 'do?
My second project (above) is a scrapbook lay-out based on those three small pics taken circa 2012. Love those Instagram photos of my family. For the base of the lay-out, I did some water-coloring mimicking the colors of the kit.
I really love the banner and balloon parts! Had to include them on my debut project.
Hope you get to visit the TGF blog and the Print & Cut DT's blogs -- we are joined by the lovely Kristina Werner. She's got a wonderful video on her post about how to use the kit with your silhouette. The other peeps who have amazing creations are Claudie, Cynthia, and Sui-Lan!
We also have a blog hop going on, and you can win this kit!!
From the TGF blog:
Time for the our Blog Hop, check out all our blogs where you will find more creations from the Print and Cut Design Team including Kristina. Comment on each blog and hop back here to let us know you’re done. That is it! One random winner will be selected, and win the Summertime kit! Be sure to finish the hop by tomorrow night (June 17th) at 11:30 (PST). The winner will be announced on June 18! Good luck to all!
Good-luck to y'all!!

HB2U Banner Girl.
Hi Darlings!
Time for Tea Designs has got a sweet new release, Banner Girl, and she's perfect for any chica celebrating her birthday!!
She looked a little bit like Elsa to me so I stayed with a similar color for her dress! And I went for the pink hair again Why? Because I can't color my hair like that for work. I am envious of Nicole Richie's candy lilac hair. Not that I would dye mine like that all. But the rebellious me starts pouting when someone tells me I can't do something...LOL!
Made the card go along with the super girly look. Lots of flowers galore! I even used up some of the Maggie Holmes' Flea Market goodies that I've been hoarding!
Have a gorgeous rest of the week!

Sneak Peek on TGF's new Summertime kit.
Hi all!!
It's time to show you a tid bit of the new Print and Cut file kit for The Greeting Farm! It's all about Summer, and this kit will debut next week on the 16th!
That will also be day when you can fully view the DT's projects that are being 'sneak peeked' at the TGF blog today!
For now, lemme tease you with these! (For some reason, blogger is uploading my pics in the wrong direction. I left it because it only adds on to the mystery.. don't ya think?? LOL).
Make sure you visit the blog and my fellow DT members' blogs for more sneaks: Claudie, Sui-Lan, Cynthia.
Enjoy today!

It's all about Dad!
Hiya peeps!!
It's Wednesday night over here, and you know what that means! It's time for another Milk Coffee Challenge (well, at least every other Wednesday does!). This time, it's all about Dad or that special masculine figure in your life!
This has gotta be my favorite Father-themed image at Milk Coffee -- the Father and Son digi is so very sweet!
For the coloring, I sort of just grabbed whatever caught my eye. I ended up having that blue, teal, orange, yellow combo, and it just so happened that these Lawn Fawn papers are what I grabbed next (they're perfect!). I love how they worked out like that, and it was really a quick craft!
You've got two weeks to play along! No need to use a MC stamp, but you'll get extra points if you do! :)
Toodles!

Summer at the Beach Boardwalk.
Helloooooo Manic Monday!! (I wish it was Sunday)...
Although, it isn't that for me as I worked all weekend! Today is actually a "Saturday" for me! Hee hee :).
So, let's talk about the favorite patterned paper you hoard! For me, past faves have been Love, Elsie and anything Dear Lizzy. One of my most cherished one is Allison Kreft's line Everyday Eclectic. She used to design for the Bay Area- based company, Hambly, and this line was inspired by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
When I saw Summer Henry, I immediately thought of this line! He's part of the new Roberto's Rascals release over at C.C. Designs .. go check them all out!
Kept it pretty simple as the scenes speak for themselves! Hoping to visit the beach and boardwalk a lot this Summer!
Have a fab day!

Vintage Beach Lucy.
Happy June, everyone!!
Today's the first day of previews at the C.C.Designs' blog! I am featuring Vintage Beach Lucy. I am a big fan of vintage swim suits, and hers is so adorable! I also love her curvy, realistic figure, don't you? :)
I was shopping at Michael's today (for non-scrappy items, can you believe it??), and I came across these beautiful Jolee's stickers -- fell in love with the texture of that sand! I just had to use it for my project!
Hope you all have a great Sunday! Come check out the rest of the releases on the C.C.D. Blog! You'll be so stoked! They're amazing!
