And it's over....

Dang!!! 12 days of vacay are gone, just like that! Today is my last official day off before I have to go back to work, and I still have lots to do!! But I told myself to limit it because I want to relax today! How do I do that??

1) Well, for starters, I'm going to finish the rest of the Desperate Housewives, Season 3 DVD's.
These women will stop at nothing to get what they want, and it so unbelievable and full of drama! But the show is
hilarious!!!


2) While watching the show, I'm going to scrap and/or finish doing my Daily Candy Cards. I think I ended with September 5th.

3) I also will flip through wedding magazines for more ideas and images. I'm really bummed out that I didn't do more planning during my vacation. Plus, the florist that I really wanted isn't available for my wedding date. Phooeeey!!! Throughout this whole wedding planning biz, I find myself trying to compromise on which part I should really budget on. But being detail-oriented proves to be difficult as I find myself pondering over flowers and invitations and decorations. I can't decide!! Maybe it's invitations? I'm truly scared that after Gil and I spend money on invites, people may just throw them away (?) ----*GASP!* But they do showcase what the wedding will be like, so I do want something classy and beautiful! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!



But, let me take in a deep breath!!! After all, I am supposed to be relaxing today! Maybe I'll turn off my phone and computer for awhile after this.....

Made from A Million Memories Kit, these Rusty Pickle, Hambly, and Heidi Swapp goodies were perfect for my pirate pics *ARRRRRR!!!!

And then, the following 4 cards were made from the bits and scraps left over from July Label Tulip, SOML, and I *heart Candy Collection from SIS TV.

Pump it Up!!

I'm so proud of myself. Today, I worked out for about an hour and ten minutes!!! Yay! It was hard, but I feel so good with all the heightened endorphines. Thought I'd blog about it!!

I did Turbo Jam, which I enjoyed. It's a mixture of dance, kickboxing, and sculpting! I really love to dance so it was awesome! Chalene pumps you up and her joyous personality is contagious!

Then, I worked out to Tahitian Cardio! I took Hula and Tahitian last year, and I fell in love with it!! This one is supposed to be an all body work-out, but it didn't feel like that at all (in a good way).

I'm glad I found ways to work out and have fun with them! Hopefully, they'll motivate me to keep at it because I have:



It's actually 11 more days now! My wedding is coming up, and I so want to look good in the dress of my dreams!

So now it's 4 pm, and Fiance and I are looking for something to do outside of the house that doesn't cost much money. It is Saturday after all, and the weather looks great outside. Maybe we'll drive to San Francisco and hang out at Pier 39. But parking in the city costs mucho mula so that's out!!

Speaking of the city, if any of you know of a great spot for engagement pics in SF, please let me know. I told our photographer, Gene that I originally wanted Baker Beach but it seems like every couple who's getting married gets their EP taken there so forget it! I like to be unique. We'll definitely pick Pier 39 for sentimental reasons, but I would also LOVE to get shots of the city.

Anyway, tried scrapping but I wasn't very motivated. Maybe tonight. Here are the lay-outs I worked on yesterday.




Oh, and this totally opened my eyes and made me smile! SAH-WEET!! Bernadette is soooo right on the money!!!

Finally!! After many months of debating...

....I have decided on wedding colors!!! Yay! I'm really so indecisive...stubborn, but easily influenced! Does that make sense???

Anyway, my colors are *drumroll*...

ORANGE, with some GREEN, and hints of PINK!!


After much research, soul searching and agonizing my bridesmaids (sorry, Jo!), I've come to this conclusion, especially after coming across these photos on the knot and from some friends:




it's even influenced my pages lately. I've rediscovered the August Studio Calico, which is so full of orange, sienna, green, and some pink!! TFL!!

A bout of insomnia

This is what I get for taking a nap at 7 pm! I'm not usually up till 2 am anymore (Am gettin' old!) so I thought I'd blog. That usually takes a lot out of me since I upload all sorts of stuff in here.

Had a pretty good Labor Day. Went to fam's house where sisters and I and my mom cooked lunch consisting of fried rice, nan (sp?), curried potatoes, and eggplants. Pretty healthy! I so missed my mom's cooking even though she really only made the fruit salad for dessert. Kate's experimental cooking turned out good..but my mom kept telling her to just buy the "tortillas" instead of cooking it from scratch. *LOL* We, then, had to tell her it was Indian bread, and not Mexican!

I've forgotten how chaotic my fam's household can be! My mom, sissies, and I were really loud in our gossiping, cooking, and laughing! It was fun telling them about the wedding planning. But I'm so horrified at my mom's addition to the list! It keeps getting larger and larger!! AHHHHH!!

Then, my fiance and youngest sis and I went to the mall...bad idea! It was packed and I got irritated at the long lines!! I finally got what I was looking for at the 3rd shopping area/mall that we went to! OMG!!

Back to home, where I got some scrapping done. At first, I didn't quite know what to do with the Sonora High collection at SIS TV, but then, I'm totally happy with what I did with the notebook and also the book I made. The book was made out of the mini file folders included and I adhered the pages with the fasteners. Boy did those things take me back to school :)!!

Weddings and Dares.

The last two days have been scrapping heaven...

There was a common theme of weddings and dares.

The Wedding:

I loved this group of four pics. L & J were so cute! Used Rusty Pickle and K & Company for the patterned paper. Used Worldwin for the background. Letters were from Heidi Swapp and American Crafts. The ribbon was from the August Label Tulip kit.
This is my fave l.o. of the four. I love Kihlal Gibran, especially his poems and views of love and marriage. The couple let doves go free...a symbol of unity AND freedom. Used Label Tulip August Kit, Hambly, Basic Grey, Stampin' Up. Buttons were from a RAK that I received.
I wanted to incorporate the program and the save-the-date magnet here. The program for the church is the paper behind the bride and groom with the cherry blossoms. All of Luzelle's invites and programs included cherry blossoms so I thought this Basic Grey pp was perfect! I didn't really want to use anything else because I wanted the pattern to show. Used Basic Grey, Stampin' Up, Prima flowers, Uniball pen, Love, Elsie.
L's wedding ideas were great...from the bamboo favors to flowers they arranged themselves. My favorite has got to be the framed poster of the seating arrangements (I think I'll do this--it's so much easier) and the bride and groom's pictures depicting the table number (we were in table 18 so they had pics of when they were 18 yrs old!). Used Rusty Pickle, August Cocoa Daisy kit, Doodlebug design, American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Hambly, Michael's flowers.

The Effer Dares:

Dare 73-- Do not use any scrapbooking supplies! This was fun because usually, I'm trying to find stuff around the house that's unconventional for scrapbooking. So here's my chance. I used a cardboard for the background paper and ledger paper as my pp. The fabric with the ladies was from a purse I cut out (I love those drawings!). The library card is used for my journaling. My letters were from a tabloid magazine. My ribbons were floral tape and twill. I love it!

Dare 74--Scrap your mantra. I got this from Mike, and thought it was hilarious!! But it really is from Dr. Dre's rapsong. It was catchy, it symbolizes hard work and determination..plus it has a beat!! What better way to encourage myself than to dance to my mantra? Used September SIS TV kit (Sonora High) with Paper Adventures, Hambly, Ribbon and tape stamp from SOML August kit, Stampin' Up ink, Uniball pen.
