Muse

According to Wikipedia, a muse in Greek mythology is a Goddess who inspires the creation of art and literature. I made this card for one of my good friends who is truly inspiring. She had a tough time getting pregnant the second time around, and had gone on Clomid a few months ago. She was very determined and never gave up. And now, she is about 8 weeks pregnant!! Am so very happy for her!

I also think that a woman is most beautiful when she is pregnant. That glow, that special feeling that a miracle is growing inside of her... well, I knew I sure felt like a Goddess myself last year :).

For this card, I used Mom Anya for the stamp. The sentiment is a clear transparency from kol laj. The painted paper towel behind Anya is also from kol laj. The felt flower is from Junkitz. The beautiful PP, bird die-cut, and ribbon are from a Taylored Expression's Key Ingredients kit. I'm sorry but I don't remember which one it was. I picked birds because to me, they symbolize a new beginning. I used an ink spray that I got from Studio Calico. Here's a close-up picture of it:

Anyway, I better go as today is my last day of my vacay and i have lots of errands to run! Have a great Monday! I'll be working the next couple of days (12 hr shifts) so I probably won't see you till the end of this week! Toot-a-loo!

I know what it's like trying to get pregnant. How sweet of you to make a card (for) your friend.
Love the coloring!!!
Lucky you!!! How sweet of your hubby to get TGF gift card! My husband only knows Stampin Up cuz I used to be a demo. But, it's a good thing he doesn't know the name of scrapbook/stamp companies though. I dont' want him to know how much I spend on crafting, you know. Heehee
Happy New Year and I thank you for EVERTHING!!!
