Favorite Book Turned into a Movie at TGF.
Hello, everybody!
I barely made it, but I decided to play along with The Greeting Farm's Customer Challenge at Splitcoaststampers- "A Night at the Bookstore."
I went with the Favorite Book Turned into A Movie and went with The Help. It was my favorite book last year. And I felt that the movie did the book some justice. If you haven't read it yet, I suggest you dive into this moving tale about this historic time. Despite some challenges, these women show a great lesson in humanity. They overcame adversity through friendship and love.
I chose Nurse Anya, Cheeky Cherry Pie, and a retired stamp called Hope and Grace Laundry (i think). I altered them a bit by taking off the nurse's cap and cutting Cheeky's hair. Pardon the uneven coloring of their faces as I do not own all of the Copics to do African American faces.
And yay, I got to use my scraps! The crinkled ribbon is home made by Amy.

In other news, have you seen how I was picked to be on the SOG Customer Showcase? I FINALLY 'won' something at SOG, LOL. And I'm very grateful to Amy, who was actually the one who chose my card. Amy, thank you so much - you are probably my biggest supporter here!! For more info on my card, see this post.
Smooches!

This is AMAZING, Rinne! LOVE your interpretation of The Help- I cannot WAIT to see this movie!
Such a great LO on this movie... never seen it or read it, but I'm sure it must be a great novel....
Love all the scenery you portrayed on the characters.... You are so talented my friend.....
I have the book but haven't read it it seen the movie yet... BUT since I know what it's about, I can say that this is FABULOUS! Your coloring looks great to me! Remember, all people of every background come in a million different shades; keep working what you have!
This is just adorable!

Girlie - your card is by far my fave on this challenge. I saw this on SCS and new instantly it was yours! I hope you win it (even though I did a card for this one too). I absolutely love this....saw the movie (twice in the cinema) and have the book!
Okay, so ... I HAD to pin this on pinterest. Just so you know. I think it is THAT amazing.
This is soooo cool! Love the different frames!:)
Rinne,
I read the book and saw the movie. I agree that they complimented each other nicely. Much like you have done here.
I love the chocolate pie, but oh no I do not wish a slice, even if you did offer nicely.
Colin
LOVE this Rinne, it's brilliant! The background scenes for each are awesome and I think your coloring is perfect! You've done such a great job that without even seeing the movie I knew instantly what your card was just by seeing these gals! You are so talented and very creative...I love your work and your blog!
Congratulations on being picked on the SOG showcase! I love this card you made, love all the images. Hugs, Hanneke
This is wonderful. I love how you made the stamps perfectly fit the movie The Help theme. Your coloring looks great too.

Great card! The Help is probably one of my most favorite books too - very clever to use those 3 TGF stamps for representing the movie/book! Cute!
