The Cutest Umbrella.

IMG_7088-1

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and holiday!

It's Karber Monday for me, and this post features Millie Umbrella!

I just love that adorable bunny umbrella. Leave it to Berenice to create the cutest images!

How's the weather in your neck of the woods? It's in the mid to low 70s where we are spending our Thanksgiving Holiday! Crazy, huh?

Blowing Bubbles.

IMG_5911-1

Our hospital is big on celebrating Nurses' Week, but it also celebrates other medical professionals as well. Did you know that May is Better Hearing and Speech Month? We are fortunate enough to know a wonderful Speech Therapist, and today's card was made for her.

Thought it was cool to find this design paper of quotation marks from my stash-- I think it symbolizes words or sentences perfectly, don't ya think? I also used some reading/ spelling-themed Graphic 45 DPs.

K told me that blowing bubbles is a good exercise for the mouth and mimics the first verbalization of babies/ toddlers. So I chose Karber Bubble Millie from SCRS. Isn't she adorable? This card is a mixture of cute and vintage-y :).

A special shout-out to my bloggy friend, Eva, who was a ST by trade :).

Have a wonderful day! Just two more work days and I go on a l'il stay-cation!

Happy Birthday & Black Friday

**** Please go HERE for my Craft Room ReDo Blog Candy. ****

IMG_3626

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone is full and warm and y'all had a nice Thanksgiving (at least for my American friends!).

I'm featuring a card I made for Amy (hope she already got it in the mail). Amy has been a great bloggy friend of mine, I met her shortly after I started stamping. I simply followed her amazing work and commented, and she started commenting on mine as well. She always encouraged me, gave tips, and shared her techniques. And when she got super HUGE in the blogging/ stamping world, she never forgot the little peeps, LOL! She always sent me cards/ gifts on special occassions! Thanks for being a wonderful friend, Amy!

I wanted to use a stamp that she didn't already own - Karber Bubble Millie from Sparkle Creations. Of course, I had to alter her hair to make it look like hers. :)

I paired her with some Cosmo Cricket (love that bubbles paper) & an old ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. Love how this card is super happy!

I'm entering it for two challenges:

1. The Deconstructed Sketch # 28.
2. Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 36 - use old stash (that love ribbon).

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

I'm not braving the crowds for my usual Black Friday tradition but I'll be checking out stuff online! Anthropologie is 50% off their sale items up until 11 am, local time, online!

And speaking of Black Friday sales--

Hugs!

You get all five stamps shown (Karber Millie, sentiment, sun, pineapple, butterfly) plus a hibuscus flower image and another sentiment! Such a great deal!

I went all out and went 'cuteness overboard'!!! I think I may have just made up a term...I'll call it C.O.! :)

And you know what's even cooler? Some of the supplies were even bought in Hawaii!! The DP with the sunset and the rikrak. WoWoWoW! I bought said items three years ago during our honeymoon in Maui. I forgot the name of the scrapbook store though.

Be sure to visit all rest of the SCRS designers for more peeks of Karber Hawaii Kawaii Millie. Sparkle will be giving away Karber Hawaii Kawaii Millie to one lucky person! For a chance to win, you need to comment on all of the designer's blogs (list below). Then head on over to the SCRS blog and comment on the Karber post. SCRSC # 66

Hi everyone, and welcome to SCRSC # 66. Our challenge for this week is no coloring!

IMG_2944

I did some paper piercing and just stamping with my regular black ink. I also wanted to mix up vintage and cutesy again :). I used Karber's Reading Millie and for the papers, I used Graphic 45. That strip of the plain alpha paper is actually from a real school book. And the memo tag is from Creative Imaginations Project (too bad they went out of business). The twine is from Martha Stewart and the brads are from Making Memories.

Hope you all get to play along! I had to think really hard about what I'd do for this - it's refreshing to challenge yourself once in a while! LOL!

Remember, you have to use a Sparkle Creations image on your project! Please see the blog for more information.

For more inspiration, pls hop on over to each of the DT's blogs!

Reading Millie & Winner of my mini Blog Candy!

IMG_2337

Good Monday morn, everyone!

Hope you are all ready for the week to start! I know I am! The tater tot is all better, & things will hopefully be back to the routine that we are trying to establish with the little one.

I used Karber's Reading Millie for today's post and paired her with these patterned papers from Imaginisce. I couldn't get enough of the school/ nerd theme that I first used on this lay-out.

The brads are from Echo Park's Happy Days. The PP behind the sentiment is from EP too. I colored her with Copics and the cardstocks are from Bazzill and Neenah.

This card is also for the Karber Challenge 40. The goal is to stamp about a hobby or leisure activity. Reading, of course! Now if only I can start/ finish the two books I bought. More on those later.

-------------------------------

And now, it's time to announce the winner of my blog candy for Jo's Birthday Blog Hop.

Number SIX!!!!

Respect My Kraft from Kris & Kristen!!!!

Kris and/ or Kristen, please contact me via my email on the profile page of this blog. I'd love your address so I can send you your goodies by the end of this week or the beginning of next!

Thanks for playing, everyone!!!

Have a great day!
