Our Internet is down :(...

So I'm blogging on my phone.

I did have a card for you today but I can't upload it right now.

It's another cute & simple one, and I'm happy I got to craft today.

But I can't wait to be able to spend an hour making a card -- coloring an intricate image, cutting up and layering patterned paper to create textures, adding unique embellies.... Ahh, I miss those kind of cards.

Hope to get to make those soon. And also try Sunghee's templates. My sis suggested trains for the centerpieces at Mattie's party-- thought the bumper car template would be perfect. *sighs*. If only there were two of me.

Right now, I'm kind of almost drowning. Threading water but my legs are getting tired.

The babe is getting more mobile. That means less time for myself, more time chasing after or entertaining him.

His birthday is fast approaching. I'm in the middle of mailing out invitations (homemade, will show later), buying favors, and ordering food.

I also will be putting together favors (& making the tags) for one of my BFF's bridal shower.

We are house hunting (yay!). And the bidding game has begun. There's a house that looks promising so pls say a lil prayer for me. How I'd love to have my own crafting room (or table!) and a backyard for MK! And people over for dinner!

I work the next couple of days so I probably won't see you till Thursday.

Enjoy the night!

Happy Mama's Day.

Photobucket

Hey everybody! Happy Mother's Day!

Facebook status of the day:
"I thank the Lord for giving me the hardest but most rewarding job! A special shout out to new mommies, preggies, and single mamas! I'm blessed to be a mommy to the most amazing, funniest 11-mo-old! Here's to being a nurse, doctor, nutritionist, chef, police, housekeeper, recreational therapist, teacher, stylist, accountant, publicist, all in one!!!! Never appreciated my own Mom (& mom-in-law) as much as I do now!"

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I'd be a mom. The oldest of four, I was always the baby-sitter & I've always loved kids.

Hope you all have a great day! I woke up to this --

So sweet of G to get me a card from Mattie too. And I got this lovely necklace (in my favorite teal box). I told him what I wanted but you know sometimes (ok, most of the time), you have to tell men what to do. haha!

And after prodding my hubby to wake up and begging, he eventually got me a 'snack-in-bed.' My sisters are cooking brunch so I'm not supposed to eat a full breakfast yet :).

As for the card, sorry if it's a bit blurry. Used the elephant stamp from TGF's Circus set. And my favorite part is the decorative circus packing tape I recently got from Torendi. It's so freaking cute!

Love,

Smile and Eat!

Photobucket

Hello!

I've got a quick and simple card for you. It's got lots of Love Elsie, both old (camera PP) and new (checkered fabric & star sticker).

I absolutely fell in love with her new Camp Cute kit. Not sure when I'll be using the rest of the supplies as I have never ever gone camping before. The closest I came to it was when I took my sister and cousins to Yosemite for the weekend, and we rented some cabins outside of the park. He he. After hiking all day, we had to drive the 30 minutes it took to get there.

But this summer, I'm hoping to finally go camping with my hubby's cousins! Yay!

And here's some more eye candy for you...

According to this New York Times article, a lot more people are taking photographs of their food and posting them.

I happen to be one of those people who like to document yummy & well presented food so you'll be seeing some here now and then :).

Here's the latest from my outing with some friends at La Mar. It was my first time tasting Peruvian food. So good!

1. Fried potatoes and bananas.
2. Cebiche (the national dish of Peru).
3. Peruvian whipped potatoes with Dungeness crab, avocado, cherry tomato & quail egg.
4. Corn Empanadas.

Have a great weekend!

Sweet Manga

Photobucket

Happy Hump Day, peeps! Hope you are having a great morning so far!

For today's card, I used Manga girl #2 from Sugar Nellie.

I used some Love Elsie PP (notes), kol laj PP (painted on), Dear Lizzy felt sticker and brad, and some twine. I do not remember what brand the PP with squares is. And of course, I colored with Copics.

I'm at work today and tomorrow so I hope to see you all on Friday!

All Eyes on Me, In the Center of the Ring, Just Like a Circus..

Photobucket

Hola! Bonjour! Aloha! Hello! Kamusta!

Today's card is for the Club Anya & Friends' Rockin' Rebel 2. Create a card based on a musical artist/ icon/ band.

Now Britney Spears is not my most favorite. And she certainly has gone through a lot. But I have enjoyed her music throughout the years. And I think that when her album, Circus, came out, she was on the verge of getting help and improving herself.

Plus, y'all know I've been pretty obsessed with anything Circus lately, especially vintage ones :). In fact, you'll see a very similar card in the near future!

To create B, I combined 80's Anya's head with Circus Anya's body. I could've used a stamp with a skirt to copy the picture but I thought the 'bare legs' showed Britney's true sexy nature more. And also because the ring leader jacket was a bit conservative for her (doesn't it look like a referee's jacket as well? haha!).

I actually wanted to do Jason Mraz or the Black Eyed Peas.

Jason Mraz (my picture btw!) is an all time fave but I couldn't get the hat and the goatee right! :) And the BEP-- who rocked the last concert I watched ---was just hard for me to do with my time constraints right now. Teehee!

In other news, I got so much love for my birthday last week.

And Amy also sent me such a cute Sweet November stamp that has yet to be released!! Aaaack!! Am so lucky & grateful! Thank you, Amy!!!

Shucks...*am tearing up again*
