i couldn't sleep..

I was looking through Creating Keepsakes and saw a similar lay-out like this, and I thought, "Why not think out of the box and do something besides my usual style?" I always seem to do fun and bright pages whenever I have pics with my teen cousins. I also really want to learn how to use a sewing machine (I've done it when I was younger but now I don't remember). So instead of real stitches, I put it some of those gel sticker ones :)!

Supplies used-- Cardstock: Scenic Route Laurel Kraft Flower; Rub-ons: Fancy Pants; Strips of cardstock: Bazzill and Autumn Leaves, Rhonna Farrer; Staples: Making Memories; Heart: XL Ghost by Heidi Swapp; Stitches stickers: Cloud 9 Designs; Pens: Sharpie and Micron; Ribbon: ?; Big Brad: ?

I think I've only done 1-2 pages from Jo's wedding 2.5 years (yikes!). Here are the finished products! I wanted them all to have the same theme, so I used the same line of Basic Grey, with a tying color of red. I used BG because it was romantic! Note: I ordered the pictures from Jo's photographer, Sharon Dawson.

This one's my favorite lay-out from the wedding. It's also my most fave pic of Jo (and hers as well as shown in her blog!! :)) I love the colors of brown and red and white together. I also like the ribbon I used here!

Supplies used-- Cardstock and Tag: Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter in Desire; White and Red Cardstock and Brads: Bazzill; Ribbon: ?; Flower rub-on: Crate Designs, Crush Collection; Word Rub-on: Rusty Pickle; Ink: Stampin' Up; Mesh: Magic Mesh; Metallic Square: ?; Pen: Micron.

Supplies used-- Cardstock, Tag, and Letters: Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter in Recognition; Vellum: ?; Brads: Bazzill; Ink: Stampin' Up; Ribbon: ?; Pen: Micron; Small tags and brads: EK Success Inspirables; Stamp: 7 gypsies.

AHAHAHAA!!! Oh my God! I didn't spell "Partner" right!! What a fob!! *note to self: MUST correct this!!* :)

Supplies used-- Cardstocks: Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter in Among the Ruins and Fare Thee Well; Letters: Basic Grey Scarlet Letter; Big Chip: Bazzill; Ribbons: ?; Stamp: 7 gypsies; Pen: Micron.

Sorry to say, but I think this one's my least fave of the bunch..and it's the one of Gil and I (which are usually what I love!). I know that Basic Grey has a lot going on on their pages, which usually is wonderful for me because they're so artistic. They're like a painting of their own!! But I overdid it with MORE embellishments up on top! Oh well!!

Supplies used-- Cardstock: Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter in Glance; Red Cardstock: Bazzill; Big Tag: My Mind's Eye Tres Jolie; Small Tag and stickers: Bo-bunny Press; Rub-on Letters: Making Memories; Rub-on paisleys: Basic Grey Wholy Cow!; Square Metal Brads: Basic Grey; Ink: Stampin' Up; Pen: Micron.

I like this lay-out because it's almost chaotic! I feel that the jumble of colors reflect what we were all thinking: a little bit of nervousness, awe, sentiment, fun, and romance!! I added in ribbons and the white mesh to imitate a wedding dress. And you can barely see it, but there's a piece of fine lace across the page to symbolize the flying veil. I love this picture!!!

Supplies used-- Cardstock and Letters: Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter in Secret; Ribbons: ?; Red Cardstock: Bazzill; Mesh: Magic Mesh in Red and White; Piece of Lace: ?; Pen: Micron; Ink: Stampin' Up; Flowers: Prima; Button: Making Memories.

Sweet layouts! For learning to sew, be on the look out for sewing classes at Suzy's store. Michelle had one about a year ago, and I'd had my sewing machine for that long before I took the class to learn how to use it. She rocks the house with the sewing classes!
