Now, I admit, I watch a lot of TV. But the quality of the TV shows I watch have improved. Granted, it's still a reality show but I'm learning so much about decorating. I think this type of design also applies to paper-crafting.

Bob & Courtney have a contemporary style and are never afraid to mix old & new & patterns that would not normally mix together. They somehow make it work.

That's the inspiration for my card today. Used the papers from past Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kits. Flowers are from Prima. The cute Darby & Penelope stamp is from ATS. It was a gift from the lovely Amy!

Such an adorable group of girls. I tried giving Darby curly hair, and as you can see I have some practicing to do. So glad that there's Color Me Copic, a new tutorial blog by some of my most fave bloggers and blenders! :)

It's been so hard finding a Copic Certification class around here!

Favor # 1

For my DS' vintage circus party next week, the little kids will have their own special favors.

Can't say what they'll be for Jo will read this and I want to leave some kind of element of surprise for her son & daughter. :)

The bags are super simple -- paper bags decorated with:

1. Vintage tags I bought from Etsy.
2. Rhona Farrer PP
3. Circus packing tape.
4. Dollar store goodies (ticket & star stickers).
5. Decorative scissors.



I'm usually scared of clowns but this one is super duper cute!!

Have you ever watched Tori & Dean? I was never a fan of Tori until I started watching this show. She's super down-to-earth considering she's a Hollywood star. She's always putting her kids first and loves to decorate and plan parties! I can totally relate!!!



I have other favorite shows to share. I think I'll be doing this once in a while! My other favorite show about being a mommy is Parenthood but I'll save that for a future post!

Fairy Godmother

Good Thursday morning, everyone!

Can I just say that these next week and a half will probably be lots of fun but I cannot wait till it's over?

The babe/ tot turned one and the party is coming up!

One of my bffs is having her bachelorette this weekend! There'll be dancing & some alcohol involved and I'm a bit nervous because it's been a while since I've partied.

We are making an offer to this house that looks promising! *crosses fingers and prays*

And I'm tapering off breast milk for the l'il one. (Sorry if this last one is TMI).

WHEW! I'm tired now just talking about it!

Anyway, the biggest stress/ fun will of course be my baby's vintage circus party. My lil sis, Kristine, has been my right hand in planning this thing. She has always been so creative and talented with party planning. I really couldn't have done it without her!

So of course, she is my son's God-mother. She has been there for him since he was the size of a pea, coming to me on a couple of my appointments while the G was working. She has baby-sat, & even learned how to change a poopy diaper. She always lights up when she sees Mattie. It's nice to see how loved my child is.



I adore this picture of K & M together. I decided to focus on sissy instead of the litle tot. I used mostly pink, green, orange -- I love this color combo the most! I also used them for my wedding. (BTW, my lil sis also helped me with that one!).

I can't believe I have a 1-year-old!

Seems just like yesterday I was pregnant with you!

At 12 months, you have 7 teeth.
You could walk 20-30 steps unassisted.
You like to dance and sing.
You laugh when others laugh.
You say, "Mama," "Up," "No."
You shake your head no, and nod your head yes.
You are intrigued by our family dogs but are scared of them.
You love Elmo and Big Bird and Mickey.
You are not quite ready for the sippy cup, but you're open to many different types of food.

I know I haven't been around much lately. And I haven't been satisfied with my creations as much because I feel so rushed in making them. But I'm so glad I still got to craft despite these busy times at work, at home, with friends, and the babe.

I wanted to make a 'guy' card today because it is my dear son's birthday. Am hoping to have another post later about Mattie's first birthday :).
