I Love Me Some Aloha

I've been stamping a great deal lately and had SOO much fun at The Greeting Farm's blog hop. I've never had THAT many comments before and it so very encouraging! It was also so nice to see and visit everyone else's blog. Hope people come back and visit once in a while! :)

To continue with the celebration, I entered this lay-out for the "My Favorite Things" Challenge. The goal is to create a card or lay-out featuring your favorite memory of a birthday. I chose my 31st birthday, which happened to land just two days after our wedding and smack dab in the beginning of our honeymoon! It was a splendid birthday indeed...we had just landed in Maui and for dinner, we ate at Mama's Fish House. It became one of my favorite restaurants and it is nestled in its own private beach! The food was delish and the atmosphere was so romantic for my husband and I. While blowing out that candle,I wished for a happy marriage but also reminisced about the wonderful wedding. I was excited for the honeymoon and many more blissful memories to come!

I didn't win but it was very fun scrapping this page. I haven't scrapped in a while and it was nice to incorporate my new stamping addiction. I must admit that the Hula Anya stamp was perfect for this!

Even more FUN...

The San Francisco Aloha Fest was this weekend! I love everything Hawaiian and so I couldn't wait to come and taste the food, watch the festivities, and listen to that mellow music! My hubby was concerned about bringing Mattie, being just two months old and all. So I went by myself and met up with a couple of friends.

I missed my baby and hubby, but was glad I came. I got Matthew a couple of souvenirs here at the My Little Buddha stand. Their onesies are so freaking cute! I also got him a book.

This stand featured a lot of cutesy items that I like. Had to stop myself from buying...I wanted to save for Mattie's souvenirs and of course, more stamps and scrapbooking supplies! :)

So I traveled about 45 minutes to the Aloha Fest and where do I line up for food?? He, he! At the Filipino Food Stand!! :) And my friend, Melissa, was laughing at me-- she got a plate of Lau Lau (truly authentic Hawaiian food) while I got me some Spam Musubi! LOL!!!

Here's a pic of all the goodness that I bought: Mattie's onesies and book, the yummy Spam Musubi, and some Ling Hing Mui (hope I wrote that correctly) kettle popcorn. That popcorn is THE BOMB!!! It's so ADDICTING..but it turned my fingers, lips, AND teeth red! Had to stop by a store on the way home and that was kind of embarrassing! Should've taken a pic of what I looked like to show you all! He he! :)

But I cannot wait for next year's Aloha Fest!

Ok, well, it's time for this new mama to go to sleep before the next round of feeding comes! I'll have to edit this and add my supply list later. In the meantime, thanks for visiting....MAHALO and ALOHA!!!!
